December 7, 2006 - 16:13 ET by Nathan R MII think the only MSM organization that will confront the Dems is Fox News. They do that already though so I stand with my "No." In my honest opinion the media has to become more moderate in order to condemn other for being liberal.
***NOTE***Sorry, I misread the question. I would like to change my answer to a yes.

December 7, 2006 - 16:29 ET by bassndudeI voted no. However, if they do not pick up on the media talking points, they will eventually start calling them "consertive democrats", which is a slam in its self, to the media.

The answer is still "NO!"
The media has hitched it's wagon to the Democrats. They have nowhere else to go.....

December 9, 2006 - 06:30 ET by sarcasmoI didn't vote, because when I consider recent "conservative" Republicans' spending patterns, I don't think y'all have a very coherent definition of the much-misused word "liberal" anymore, at least in the fiscal sphere. The poll (and this entire website's thesis, IMO) needs major re-wording to reflect less empty ideology-speak and more of the real-world problems caused by big government. What's needed instead of empty NewSpeak like "liberal" has become is a more principled measurement of who does & who doesn't want the power of big government in our lives to grow, whether it's in the area of vanishing economic liberty or vanishing personal liberty. Until then, if we're going to word polls this way, I'd like to request a "None Of The Above" choice in every NB Staff poll (and come to think of it, I'd like to see a NOTA choice on every meatspace electon ballot, as well).

December 13, 2006 - 13:31 ET by leentI say "quickly" -- just look at Jack Cafferty telling us it's "odd" that the Democrats aren't going to pursue impeachment proceedings against Bush!
