Oh, I get it. This all stop
November 20, 2006 - 14:22 ET by libertyordeathOh, I get it. This all stopped after Kennedy rejected the proposal. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are a bunch of monkeys with no pull or authority in their respective fields of military service. It is amazing that so many hollow arguments are made against the implications of these documents. Are you serious? The only thing standing in the way of government sponsered terrorism in this case was the signature of the president. If anyone actually says that the goals and ideals of the people responsible for the Northwoods documents have been eradicated from our history since then, they are either woefully ignorant or a deliberate liar. The past few years is an example of what happens when a president does authorize such an operation. Anyone who believes that such an operation is appropriate, legal, ethical, moral, etc. is an enemy of this country and should be treated the same as anyone at our enemy combatant military prisons.
