Al Roker Rips Into Conan O'Brien on Radio Chat

The TMZ types have noticed that NBC morning weather man Al Roker is no fan of former NBC late-night host Conan O’Brien. Conan joked this week that a no-makeup day on “Today” was no big deal “except for the revelation that Al Roker is a tiny Japanese woman.”

Roker uncorked on Conan in an Sirius-XM radio show hosted by comedian Pete Dominick, saying maybe some day he’ll be back on “real TV” again:

"Conan O'Brien read his jokes in front of 2700 in the room, doubling the audience who watch his show," Roker wrote on Facebook last April. "Conan was weirdly off, almost never looking up. You'd think you might want to rehearse a little more before a big night like that."

Pete Dominick, a Marcellus native, asked the SUNY Oswego graduate about it during an interview that aired Monday." When he gets back on television, I think he's going to have a great career," Roker said.

O'Brien was on NBC, the home of the "Today" show, for 15 years before a falling out over "The Tonight Show." He started hosting "Conan" on TBS in 2010, but Roker said he thought O'Brien was on "this web thing," dismissing the cable channel as not being "real TV."

"Doesn't that sound like a disease?" Roker joked of the network's name.

Dominick explained that the famous weatherman was likely thinking of IBS -- irritable bowel syndrome. "Same kind of thing," Roker responded, suggesting that watching the network is just as painful.
