Bozell, Hannity Mock Melissa Harris-Perry for Pretending 'Obamacare' Is 'The Moral Equivalent of the N-Word'

Sean Hannity and MRC president Brent Bozell had a good laugh about MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry in a special Friday night edition of “Media Mash.”

“You’ve got this other host comparing Obamacare, using the word Obamacare to the moral equivalent of using the N-word, and I’m not making this up,” Hannity promised. (Video and transcript below)

HARRIS-PERRY clip: I want to talk today about a controversial word. It's a word that has been with us for years. And like it or not, it's indelibly printed in the pages of American history. A word that was originally intended at a derogatory term. Meant to shame and divide and demean. The word was conceived up by a group of wealthy white men who needed a way to put themselves above and apart from a black man, to render him inferior and unequal and to diminish his accomplishments....Y'all know the word that I'm talking about: ObamaCare.

HANNITY: That's just the dumbest analysis I think I’ve ever heard. Even for them over at NBC, this is nuts! What about Hillarycare?

BOZELL: Get this, we looked for the first time it was mentioned. It was in March 2007. It was in a journal called Healthcare Financial Management. It was coined by a woman, Jean Schulte-Scott who talked about Obamacare , Hillarycare, Giulianicare, McCaincare, Edwardscare.

HANNITY: Romneycare.

BOZELL: That was the origination. Number two, Barack Obama has used this. Does this make Barack Obama a wealthy white man? Remember, he said in the debates he was proud of that word.  Number three: Do you know who else used it? This very same reporter [Harris-Perry]. She said it as recently as November. She was using the term in her reports. So suddenly you call this racist? I don't know what got into Tulane University to hire this woman.

Bozell and Hannity also discussed (and dismissed) MSNBC desperately spinning that President Obama's less-than-classy selfie high-jinks with other world leaders was dwelling in "racist and sexist stereotypes."
