There clearly is no floor to how low Bill Maher will go to attack conservatives.
On HBO’s Real Time Friday, the host actually compared Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to Newtown, Connecticut, mass murderer Adam Lanza (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
At the beginning of his New Rule segment, Maher said, “New rule: both sides of the gun control debate have to come together to agree that you can't sell firearms or ammunition to anyone who looks like this.”
A picture of a very wide-eyed Adam Lanza was displayed:
"It won't stop every desperate loser with a chip on his shoulder,” Maher continued, “but it will keep guns out of the hands of Mitch McConnell."
Then this picture was shown on the screen:
Imagine the media's outrage if a conservative host made a similar comparison equating Lanza to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for example:
Or First Lady Michelle Obama:
Or - dare I say it? - President Barack Obama:
The left and their media minions including Maher would be up in arms demanding an apology.
But a liberal comparing McConnell to a mass murderer?
Totally acceptable.
