Dan Savage: ‘Every Dead Gay Kid Is a Victory for the Family Research Council’
Hate-filled leftist gay activist Dan Savage was at it again last Thursday.
In a presentation at Winona State University in Minnesota, Savage went on another vulgarity-laden tirade in front of students this time saying that "every dead gay kid is a victory for the Family Research Council" and that "Tony Perkins sits on a pile of dead gay kids every day when he goes to work" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary, serious vulgarity warning):
DAN SAVAGE: Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council, whatever he calls them. First of all, they tell, Tony Perkins tells parents whose kids come out to reject them. Tony Perkins tells the parents of queer kids to do what Tony Perkins damn-well knows drives those kids to suicide — doubles their already quadruple rate of suicide. Why would someone who calls themselves a Christian do that? Because every dead gay kid is a victory for the Family Research Council. They argue that the gay lifestyle is sick and sinful and dangerous and they point to the suicide rate, and then they turn around and do everything in their power to make sure that suicide rate does not come down and to drive it up. Tony Perkins sits on a pile of dead gay kids every day when he goes to work — and he calls himself a Christian. I don’t understand how real Christians let that little f--ker get away with that.
Savage later added, “We will always have ignorant d--ks like Michele Bachmann and her fag husband.”
CampusReform.org, a college conservative advocate, commented on this address Monday:
The FRC, which describes itself as a champion of “marriage and family as the foundation of civilization” was thrown into the national spotlight earlier in 2012 when it was attacked by a lone gunman who was also a volunteer at the local LGBT center.
Despite Savage’s surprising attack against Perkins and the FRC, WSU administrators as of Thursday remained unapologetic for hosting the event.
Kathleen Peterson, the WSU administrator in charge of the Lyceum Series told LI’s Campus Reform on Thursday they picked Savage because “we believe that he’s an important advocate for the LGBTA community and for simply young people in general to have a place, a safe place, where they can ask natural questions they have about sex and relationships”.
This was Savage's response via Twitter:
I'm Dan Savage and I approved -- and stand by -- this message: bit.ly/SuUvWT— Dan Savage (@fakedansavage) October 1, 2012
This was not the first time Savage has behaved this way in front of students.
In April, he threw a bigoted, anti-Christian tirade at a high school in Seattle cursing at students and calling them "pansy-a--ed."
Why any school in this nation would invite this cretin to speak to its students is beyond me.
