Michael Moore to Harry Reid: ‘Who the Hell Do You Think You Are? This Is Our Country'

Schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore on Tuesday called Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) a "weenie" for dropping the assault weapons ban from pending gun control legislation.

Appearing on CNN's Piers Morgan Live, Moore also told viewers that they needed to say to Reid, "Who the hell do you think you are? This is our country," and send ten million email messages to him in revolt (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

At the end of the first segment of his interview with Moore, host Piers Morgan said, “This brings me neatly to guns because there is so much going on with that at the moment not the least of which Harry Reid basically saying you can forget about the assault weapons ban. Let’s talk about it after the break because I'm sure you are as angry about that as I am."

As the music came up for a commercial break, Moore said, “Yeah, what a weenie.”

For the next several segments, Morgan and Moore discussed the typical left-wing tripe about gun control with the latter saying, “There will be an Aurora next month and there will be a Sandy Hook the month after that, and this is just going to keep going on and on and on until people rise up, until people take Harry Reid by the collar and say, ‘Who the hell do you think you are? This is our country, Harry Reid.’”

“He should be ashamed of himself,” replied Morgan.

“He should absolutely,” Moore echoed.

“Every Senator in that U.S. Senate who is voting against their principles,” Morgan said before Moore interrupted talking to someone in his earpiece about whether or not they had Reid’s email address.

Moore eventually did give it over the air, but it ended up being the wrong one.

Regardless, he asked for “ten million emails tomorrow morning. No, I’m serious. And, listen, if you're watching this and you don't take the time now to send him an email, don't complain about it after the next shooting, because we know the next shooting’s going to happen.”

Morgan then said he needed to take a break before stating, “I feel angry about this today. I think this is a day that is shaming America. It's shaming the Senate.

“Shameful Democrats,” Moore added. “Absolutely, absolutely shameful.”

I can't disagree with Moore's depiction, but I'm quite certain we'd differ on the reasons.
