Atheist ‘Slave’ Billboard Attacks the Good Book

Is it Christmas again? It sure feels like it, with aggressive atheists popping up to take gratuitous shots at believing Christians.

Ernest Perce V, the Pennsylvania director of American Atheists, is demanding state lawmakers rescind a decision to celebrate 2012 as the “Year of the Bible,” according to FoxNation. The Bible, he says, is “barbaric.”

You might remember Perce V from a recent story that was right out of the “Can’t they both lose?” file. Last Halloween, he participated in a Pennsylvania parade dressed as a zombie Prophet Muhammad, and was physically attacked by a Muslim man. Last month, a Pennsylvania judge dismissed the case against the Muslim.

Now, in a vicious assault on Christianity, the American Atheists have erected a billboard in Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, Pa., that blatantly defiles the Bible and Christian beliefs. The billboard depicts a black slave, neck encircled by a medieval slave collar, and grossly takes the scripture Colossians 3:22 “Slaves, obey your masters” out of context.

The billboard has already earned backlash from African-Americans and Pennsylvania citizens, and was vandalized and removed. Other black critics included Rep. Thaddeus Kirkland, D-Del.

The anti-religion organization has raised similar billboards in the past, and are now foisting their godless rhetoric on Muslim and Jewish communities with the message, “You know it’s a myth … and you have a choice.”

This billboard is only one of many efforts by the left to drown out Christian voices. Who knows, if Ernest Perce gets his way, our freedom of speech might be next on his hit list.
