Scarborough: Sarah Palin Could Beat Herman Cain in a Foreign Policy Contest

November 2nd, 2011 6:19 PM

For at least the umpteenth day in a row, so-called conservative Joe Scarborough ridiculed Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

On Wednesday's Morning Joe, the host said, "Sarah Palin could absolutely take down Herman Cain in a foreign policy Jeopardy contest right now" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

JOE SCARBOROUGH: You were reporting throughout the 2008 campaign about Sarah Palin. And Sarah Palin, remember she had that Charlie Gibson interview. She talked about the Bush Doctrine, and there was a big debate whether she knew what the Bush Doctrine was. I thought at the time that she actually had gotten it right. But, we had a debate: was she ignorant of what the Bush Doctrine was? Big debate, and Sarah Palin, many people wrote articles, James Fallows wrote article just saying she was too dumb basically to be vice president. Too ignorant. But she looks like Averell Harriman compared to Herman Cain and I mean it.

[Laughter]

SCARBOROUGH: She seems, I mean, Sarah Palin could absolutely take down Herman Cain in a foreign policy Jeopardy contest right now.

[Laughter]

Isn't it nice to see MSNBC's lone so-called conservative host insulting two of the currently most revered Republicans in the same breath?

More and more he looks and sounds like the rest of the people on that joke of a so-called news network.

Maybe he should end the pretense of impartiality and start showing up to work with his Obama-Biden pin on his lapel.
