Film critic Roger Ebert chose to celebrate Thanksgiving by rejoicing in former Congressman Tom DeLay's conviction on money laundering charges.

Ebert first graced his Twitter followers with the following:

Today let us give thanks for the right of trial by jury. Especially Tom Delay's jury. http://j.mp/fjU7Vf

The link goes to the New York Times article about DeLay's conviction.

A few hours later, Ebert tweeted:

"Earlier in the trial, DeLay had quipped that he wanted liberals on his jury because they were more empathetic." http://j.mp/i0jkaX

Makes you wonder what kind of deranged mind is actually getting pleasure from another human being's pain on Thanksgiving.

Shame on you, Roger.
