May 9, 2007 - 14:43 ET by Mean Gene Dr. LoveI kind of figured, I guess I like to give the benefit of the doubt a bit too liberally sometimes.
It's absolutely ironic that he gets his panties in a twist about us supposedly not reading his links when he refuses to read a link that I provide. And has the nerve to say it's not a credible source. I never said it was a scientific study. He automatically saw Michael Medved's name and completely wrote it off.
And we're the close-minded ones?

May 9, 2007 - 20:35 ET by RJSorry, guys. Not to start an argument, but it WAS a weak, poorly written article. I'm no North American conspiracy theorist, but I'd hate to depend on that particular article to convince anyone. The reason I'm being critical is the subject deserves a better response than "NAU? Pshaw. Nothin' to it, sonny." ;^>
Having said that, the author is absolutely right in one area:
"But as a proud nationalist, veteran and America-booster, you should join me in focusing on the real threats to our country: Islamo-Nazi terror, socialist militants who want to nationalize healthcare and kill the free market system, blame-America leftists who seek to cripple the country because they think that our current power and prosperity somehow threaten the world. These are real threats. They are reflected in open and highly-publicized debate, with leading politicians (even Democratic Presidential candidates) rallying support for disastrous changes (like nationalized health care, higher taxes, more bureaucracy and less freedom) that would imperil the Republic."

I've been courteous enough to read most (not all) of your links, so you can't legitimately call me a hypocrite.
If you haven't read my link, then does that mean you're a hypocrite? Or do your rules apply to everyone but yourself? --which BTW, would mean you are a hypocrite.

May 9, 2007 - 20:34 ET by MightyMouthHey TP, do you really think the American people are going to allow something like a NAU to go forward? With illegal immigration and all the anti-american bs from chavez, cuba et al. Do you realize how many rednecks we have? Americans will boot any lawmakers who have the stones to try this. To be honest with you this is the FIRST time I have heard of such nonsense. Stick to legit conspiracy theories dude... that's where you are the most "credible."

Well, believe what you will
May 9, 2007 - 20:44 ET by ThoughtPoliceWell, believe what you will. I'm not saying there will be a NAU 100%. Actually, I hope that there won't be one and I hope those saying they are going for one will be wrong. Everything I have seen and read shows that the imperialist want a NAU and one world Gov't. I am reading a book called "The creature from Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin (600 pages) about the history of money and the Federal Reserve.
He points this fact out in the book, that by having control of the money supply (Fed reserve, IMF, World Bank), you are just one step away from a "one world gov't." (all you need is a financial crisis to "rally" the people into submitting to this idea...and with the Stock Market et al going sky rocket, we might just see that).
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but I have the proof and you dont..

Botg, my point is "is" that this is too big an issue with virtually no press play. And if it does start to play out it will have to wait till after the election and by then the entire complexion of our beloved government may have changed. I predict that this is SO BIG that a 20 million block of voters wont make a dent. Because EVERY voting age American will show up for this one!

And yes the public education indoctrinations for which vigilance is needed, more than a few teaching children a global perspective.

May 9, 2007 - 21:10 ET by RJTP, you have no "proof" at all. You have a book that you believe, nothing more. Having said that, I AM concerned that the stupid DemocRATS could pass legislation that might bring us closer to the end you envision.
How do you feel, for example, about the illegal alien and porous border situation? What do you think should be done regarding that?
I posted my proof already.
May 10, 2007 - 19:13 ET by ThoughtPoliceI posted my proof already. If you can't read 6 pages online you might want to go turn on Fox news.
The democrats are not the ones supporting this, it's Bush and his neo-con buddies.
As far as the border, I think it needs to be taken care of asap. Bush doesn't want to take care of it because it will ruin his, canada's, and mexico's "free trade" NAFTA superhighway which has already begun construction here in Texas. Hence the beginning of the North American Union.
I support Ron Paul. In another post on here I posted a link to his legislation and policies, one of which was his stance on the border.
Here is the main page: http://www.house.gov... and here is the border policy: http://www.house.gov...
He has a simple ideology: If it is constitutional, it stays. If it is not, it goes. Can't get much simpler than that....enjoy the reading..

May 11, 2007 - 00:34 ET by UnsaneI live in TX too and you Conspiros can't even make up your minds about where this "NAFTA Superhighway" will be. Some say it's I-35; others say it's U.S. 59 (to be I-69 at some point). Sheesh, which is it? Following these history/culture defying conspiracy theories sure make me dizzy...
By the way, NAFTA (viva free trade!) was ratified under Clinton, Salinas, and PM Campbell (during her short tenure).
And what's with the anti-Semitism?

George W. Bush is not a full-fledged conservative, but I still support his presidency. I'd rather have him as president than ANY of the Democrats.

Really, I can't buy into what anyone of the fear-mongers say about projects like I-69 anymore. I suspect that their real opposition is to free trade, and I LIKE paying less money for food and clothing, rather than paying through the nose and subsidizing a bunch of unions.
An unsecure connection? Yeah, right. (Don't misunderstand, we are on the same page here.) Don't look for any Schengen-like pacts among NAFTA signatories anytime soon.

May 11, 2007 - 08:24 ET by ThoughtPoliceNope, completely open borders. Border security would compromise the NAFTA agreement in that these mexican truckers have total unlimited free access through our borders. Think I'm kidding?

You misunderstood me somewhat
May 18, 2007 - 16:26 ET by UnsaneYou misunderstood me somewhat...many of these "NAU" Conspiros believe that an evil NAFTA Superhighway will be built, and that the superhighway will lead to this "North American Union". (Hence the maniacal laughter.) Of course, they can't decide where it will be built...some say it is I-69, and others still say I-35.
And of course, they cannot explain how such highways as the ALCAN or the Pan-American Highhway haven't led to a massive superstate that encompasses the Western Hemisphere, among other things.

NAU
May 18, 2007 - 00:41 ET by Callie369I had heard the NAU mentioned on a number of occasions, and read bits and pieces about it. However, today I had an opportunity to read the "Building a North American Community " Report.
It answered a lot of questions.
WHY amnesty is so important to George Bush. WHY the superhighway. WHY mexican truckers are being granted access to U.S. highways. WHY the 700 miles of border fence approved and funded last year were not built.
After reading the report, you too will have no doubt about what is going on......and just how far George Bush has sold out the U.S.
He wants the NAU substantially complete when he leaves office. It is to be one of the landmarks of his presidency.
The police and military of the U.S., Canada and Mexico will be co-mingled. Our very sovereignty is threatened.
Folks, this is not a rumor....it is for real.
If you want to read it, go to buchanan.org. Its there, in full.
Buchanan is a populist demago
May 18, 2007 - 16:38 ET by UnsaneBuchanan is a populist demagogue that is using this NAU as a cover to enrich labor unions while impoverishing consumers (meaning he hates free trade). I, for one, like paying next to nothing for clothing, food, and other such necessities (meaning I LOVE free trade; I hate illegal immigration, but free trade can be done quite easily without a Schengen type agreement).
Answer some very simple questions for me:
1) If the law enforcement authorites of the three countries will be co-mingled, just like that, please explain why the Canadian government went ballistic at the mere suggestion that Customs laws, procedures and regulations be harmonized, and cringe whenever the United States criticizes it's own very liberal immigration policy?
2) As far as the militaries being co-mingled: it must terrify you to know that Canada and the United States are members of NATO (and I do believe Canada, like the United States, is a member of the OSCE), and that the vice-commander of NORAD is a Canadian Forces general and had been for many years.
3) How can this NAU be mostly complete with a nation whose sole identity is "not being American", and with another nation to the south that is unsure even of its own identity? Indeed, Mexico came within 380,000 votes of voting in a complete isolationist. The PRD candidate was so isolationist, he hasn't even made a single trip outside Mexico his entire life.
4) Having lived in TX most of my life, I have yet to see a single Mexican trucker here. I have seen plenty of rigs with plates from Ontario and other Canadian provinces...does that terrify you as well? Even if full access to American highways is granted on time, Mexican truck companies don't even have the economic interest in heading much beyond the border towns anyways - that is where the majority of their American business lies.
