This is an excerpt from a speech entitled "Neo-CONNED," given by Congressman Ron Paul on the House Floor on July 10, 2003:
More important than the names of people affiliated with neo-conservatism are the views they adhere to. Here is a brief summary of the general understanding of what neocons believe:
1. They agree with Trotsky on permanent revolution, violent as well as intellectual.
2. They are for redrawing the map of the Middle East and are willing to use force to do so.
3. They believe in preemptive war to achieve desired ends.
4. They accept the notion that the ends justify the means—that hardball politics is a moral necessity.
5. They express no opposition to the welfare state.
6. They are not bashful about an American empire; instead they strongly endorse it.
7. They believe lying is necessary for the state to survive.
8. They believe a powerful federal government is a benefit.
9. They believe pertinent facts about how a society should be run should be held by the elite and withheld from those who do not have the courage to deal with it.
10. They believe neutrality in foreign affairs is ill advised.
11. They hold Leo Strauss in high esteem.
12. They believe imperialism, if progressive in nature, is appropriate.
13. Using American might to force American ideals on others is acceptable. Force should not be limited to the defense of our country.
14. 9-11 resulted from the lack of foreign entanglements, not from too many.
15. They dislike and despise libertarians (therefore, the same applies to all strict constitutionalists.)
16. They endorse attacks on civil liberties, such as those found in the Patriot Act, as being necessary.
17. They unconditionally support Israel and have a close alliance with the Likud Party.
It seems, after many long discussions, that most, if not all, of these apply to Unsane's thinking. I was curious how many other's agreed with these points.

May 2, 2007 - 21:26 ET by UnsaneWe can dominate the entire world now, without hesitation. If this administration is as evil and bent on world domination as you claim, why hasn't it happened yet?
By the way, save the guilt. I realize you equate saving the planet with the complete dismantling of the world's most advanced and powerful economy, as you are intensely guilt-ridden for living in said economy. But why drag me into your personal Hell?
By the way, if you SO love the environment as you so claim:
1) Why are Brazil, China, and India, among other nations, exempt from the Kyoto Protocol?
2) Why isn't tropical deforestation addressed anywhere in the Kyoto Protocol?
3) Exit Glacier has been melting since at least 1780. What human activity was causing it to melt then?
4) Why is it you greenies throw a fit whenever nuclear energy is mentioned as an alternative energy source? It works for France, providing 78.5% of its energy needs...
5) If global warming is in fact occurring, why was the world's highest ever temp sent in 1922?
6) Why did Lisbon, New Delhi, and Johannesburg get snow storms during their respective winters of 2005-2006?
7) I have been hearing about this global warming thing for 20 years now. If is in fact happening, then why was I chipping off ice off of my truck in San Antonio this past January?
8) Why did it snow SOUTH and EAST of San Antonio for Christmas 2004?
9) Why no major hurricanes hitting the United States during 2006???

May 2, 2007 - 22:00 ET by Mr. BishopGood luck extracting any "proof" from Montana Chucklebot there. We've heard his nonsense for far too long, and never once does he provide evidence... just assertion after assertion. I've, factually, never seen anyone who can manunfacture more BS (save for rhayes) then he. It's actually easy to carry on his part of any discussion/conversation, as demonstrated below:
You: Give me proof...
Montana: I don't need to give you proof, since Rove has eaten it all, and refuses to give it up. But, by goodness, when we are able to kill Rove and do an autopsy, the world will know the truth!!
You: Montana, you must be joking -- you spit out one statement after another with no proof, and now you say Rove eats it?
Montana: Yes!! How dare you question me on this!?! It is a proven fact that Rove eats all evidence as a way to hide it!
You: You're serious? You actually believe all this nonsense? Why don't you provide me with some evidence that you have read or seen this happen?
Montana: I can't!! My camera was stolen by Rove personally, when I took pictures of him eating the evidence! I even had a tape recording of him saying how much he and Bush lied to get us into a war for oil in Iraq! But he stole that too, and ate it!
You: I see... so Rove comes to your house, steals your evidence, and eats it, does that about sum things up?
Montana: How dare you question me on this?! It is an undeniable fact, and when Bush is finally gone, and the truth comes out, you'll all see!
You: Right, well... in the mean time, enjoy your padded cell, perhaps the men in the white coats will let you come out tomorrow and play with the jump rope...
Montana: OF COURSE NOT!! Rove ate that too!!
And so it goes... everything in this world, is the fault of Rove, with no proof -- no evidence of a single thing, just some nonsensical babbling of an insane Montana lyons, who probably never was allowed to use a butter knife at the table for fear he might stab himself in the chest.

May 8, 2007 - 06:53 ET by UnsaneNo one here should be surprised since you refuse to answer a single one of my questions. It's a simple game called reciprocity. You whine that this nation is creating more terrorists; I ask you some simple questions to refute that fallacy, and you don't answer them; you whine about their lack of logic instead of being a man and answering them.
So, why should I bother answering your questions? This isn't a one-way street here.
Well, you would be wrong about those points, and the fact that you even thought that most matched up to things I said merely indicates to me that you don't like reading my posts. At all. Selective literacy strikes again.

I respond to all your posts that are directed at me. Also, your questions are hypothetical, whereas this one was fairly straight forward. And to the this straight forward question, your first reply was "What's with the anti-Semitism?" What anti-Semitism?
By the way, a good way to start a conversation is to ask what someone thinks of something. If you would of answered, we could have continued on in the conversation by me asking why you agree or disagree with a given point and I could of offered my own thoughts on it.

May 9, 2007 - 07:07 ET by UnsanePleading ignorance doesn't make the definition go away.
I don't think the 17 points condenses...anything...into a nice, neat little package.
You can be inclined to believe I am ashamed of my political principles (believe what you want, no matter how ridiculous the belief), but then you'd have to explain why I have been at it here on NB since March 2006. I, in fact, KNOW you are ashamed of your political principles, as you don't come out with them, or just quote other people (and then when called on it, you whine that you quoted someone else...) who I can only guess do your thinking for you.
In that time, I have left behind quite the electronic trail which lays out quite blatantly my political principles. You just don't want to do the work you claim to do. You will have to READ them just like everyone else does.

If you want to use the term "neo-conservative" to mean Jewish, then you go right ahead and do it. And while you're at it, you can use the term "gay" to mean happy.
Instead of sending people on a wild goose hunt everytime someone asks you a question, why not just answer it? (God, I hope the answer to that question isn't buried somewhere in the forums.)
