Do you post this crap at Dail
April 24, 2007 - 13:31 ET by Mean Gene Dr. LoveDo you post this crap at DailyKos, Huffington Post, et al.? If so how is it received at those sites?
You're wasting your time here. If this stuff ever happens I will willingly admit that you were right and you can gloat about it all you want...but, face facts...it's not going to happen. The reason Europe did this was because ever since we bailed out their collective heinies for the second time in WWII, they have had a serious inferiority complex and feelings of inadequacy compared to the U.S. that is why they formed the E.U., they felt that was the only way they could have any legitimacy or strength in the world forum. They felt there needed to be a counterbalance to the U.S. especially since the fall of the Soviet Union, but as you can see the E.U. is just as corrupt and ineffectual as the U.N. The U.S. has no need to form a union with Canada and Mexico.

April 24, 2007 - 15:13 ET by ThoughtPoliceBlah Blah Blah of course I didn't look at your link. Why would I do that? That would require independent thought that I am uncapable of. Please stop bothering us with your "conspiracy theories" about how The newly "elected" mexican and canadian presidents are extremely conservative and in the pockets of Bush. No WAY would the people of those countries let a NAU stand. I mean, it IS the people who tell the gov't what to do.
Haha, I crack myself up...

April 24, 2007 - 22:33 ET by UnsaneSo, why did the Canadian government back in the fall of 2001 throw a fit over the suggestion that Customs laws/regulations/procedures be harmonized?
Why did Mexico come 380,000 votes shy of voting in a complete isolationist?
(By the way, this Conservative government you speak of in Ottawa is on a very thin thread, being a minority government. And if Stephen Harper was in Bush's pocket, as you say, how is he still in power, not facing a no-confidence motion, right now, or earlier on? The Canadians do not like President Bush.)
Do me a favor: before elaborating more foolish conspiracies, get to know the history and culture of Canada and Mexico, who fear this idea thousands times more than even you, a lot better and in more detail before going further.

May 2, 2007 - 15:01 ET by UnsaneActually, you run away and whine just like you are doing now everytime you bring this up, and thus you expose your total inability to critically think and answer basic questions. (And of course, you throw out a few insults more befitting a schoolyard than the proper discourse of ideas.)
By the way, I have made a few trips into and through Canada over the years, and have lived in TX even longer than you have. So?
Do just a little studying of the history and culture of Canada and Mexico before you post here again and make yourself look even MORE foolish...

But you wouldn't know that, because you and every other hypocrite that thinks like you depend only on what TP and I post for your information. May 8, 2007 - 06:29 ET by UnsaneWhat the European Union has done in the past fifty years doesn't even remotely compare to what goes on here on this side of the Atlantic. If what the European Union has done with itself can be so easily replicated around the world, just because, how come ASEAN is not in a similar arrangement? I mean, come on, if the European Union can pull off such a conglomeration as they have done, that just means that every other IGO is just going to magically do the same, right?
Yeah, the Canadians are just going to cough up the Loonie just like that; never mind that they absolutely throw a fit over LESS.
Just keep parading your complete, total ignorance of history and culture. And the "guy in the video clip" is just as ignorant of history and culture as you are, if not more so.

May 8, 2007 - 14:54 ET by libertyordeathYou are pathetic. You have no argument besides "I know they wouldn't do that because I've been there". You can't even rebut the direct statements by NAU planners. You have no proof that there isn't a plan for a NAU and the Amero. Don't think I forgot about your post that read something like "So what if you're right? You won't get me to admit that I agree with it." You are too wishy washy, Charlie Brown.
Study the history and culture
May 9, 2007 - 06:27 ET by UnsaneStudy the history and culture of the Canadians and Mexicans sometime if that is not too much to ask.
THAT is another argument, one you conveniently refuse to address. I would sure like to hear how anyone is going to tell 30+ million people whose sole national identity is "we are not Americans" that suddenly they are going to be part of this "NAU" fiction. What are they going to say, when they fear your little fantasy far more than even you? "Oh, OK."?
Run this little dream world of yours by people in Ottawa and Mexico City sometime and watch the response.

...nor will the United States
April 24, 2007 - 22:36 ET by Unsane...nor will the United States do such a thing, if only due to the histories of Canada and Mexico. For agreements of that sort to happen, three must tango. The Canadians sure as all hell won't; their entire national identity is wrapped up in their "not being American". The Mexicans' attitude is summed up by Porfirio Diaz (president of Mexico from 1876-1910): "Poor Mexico! So far from God, so close to the United States."
And yet, these Conspiros think that a "North American Union" is just going to be apple-pie easy...

May 8, 2007 - 15:02 ET by libertyordeathYou are a liar. Prove that I or anyone else that knows about the NAU said that they think that it would be easy! You have no basis for that accusation. But I expect nothing less from someone who can't defend his position with fact (besides "in the past, Mexicans and Canadians opposed any such idea, therefore it is not possible that such a plan is in effect today"). Are you for real? The world is flat and at the center of the universe, too!

May 9, 2007 - 06:32 ET by UnsaneThe very fact that you are even discussing this, while refusing to address the history and culture of Canada and Mexico, only reinforces the fact that you think that the NAU is apple-pie easy. If calling me a liar makes you feel better, so be it. But you are the one pushing a conspiracy theory that flies in the face of the history and culture of 130+ million people who live beyond the borders of this nation, not I.
Again, since you once again refuse to answer basic, simple questions:
If this little conspiracy is SO APPLE-PIE EASY:
1) Why did the Canadians throw a fit over the suggestion that the United States and Canada harmonize Customs laws/procedures in the wake of 11 September 2001?
2) Why did the Mexicans come within 380,000 votes of voting in a total isolationist last August?

May 9, 2007 - 14:04 ET by libertyordeathYou can't refute any information I have provided above, besides "I don't believe what Ron Paul says". Why have millions of Americans thrown a fit over the Bush administrations tacticts, such as wire-tapping, torture, nation-building, world-policing, etc.? Why has the administration continued to do so? How can you say that since the general public of Canada opposed the harmonization, that is proof that there are not others who want otherwise? That is the most illogical argument. You think that resistance from the public magically destroyed the intention of the NAU planners? Give me a break. You're not talking to a brainwashed liberal here, pal. You'd better wake up and get informed. I'm not going to hang around Newsbusters for three years just so I can say "I told you so".

Why, you should hang around
May 9, 2007 - 15:37 ET by UnsaneWhy, you should hang around here for the next three years, because believe me, when I find I am still paying for goods and services in the United States in dollars, and find that I am, for some reason, running into Customs agents from Canada and Mexico when I try to enter their respective countries, I will have the last laugh.
If anyone here needs to wake up and get informed, it is you. Your passionate refusal to study the history and culture of the other two nations involved is on parade every time you post your nonsense.
