With a lot of the R power brokers hinting of breaking camp with folks they have already endorsed upon hearing of a possible Presidential run by Fred Thompson, could he be the Great R Hope? I'm certainly listening, as so far no other R candidates seem electable to me. But thank God neither does Hillary or O'bama.

Nominee
March 24, 2007 - 21:21 ET by Jerry MackI agree. As a conservative I would have difficulty voting for any of the present so called front runners. My Republican vote would be more of an "against" Hillary or Obama instead of a "for" the Republican. I want to hear more from Thompson.
My guess is that Thompson won't run for POTUS
March 24, 2007 - 21:34 ET by RJMy guess is that Thompson won't run for POTUS. It's too late for fund-raising in this early starting race.
His popularity among conservatives would, however, strengthen the ticket of any of the current front runners. How does Romney/Thompson sound? You heard it here first.
Thompson
March 24, 2007 - 21:44 ET by Jerry MackSounds ok. Romney has a way to go to get rid of the flip-flop tag on abortion and gay rights. Sickening that people criticise him for being a mormon. Media already after him about these things. Do not believe that money raising would be a problem for FT.
flip-flopping vs evolving
March 24, 2007 - 21:49 ET by RJIt's the libs who are trying to tag him with the "flip-flop" label. John Kerry pandered and that's a flip-flop. Ronnie Reagan moved from Democrat to Republican and that's evolving. I'll still watch him, but so far, Romney has shown that he's evolved, not filp-flopped.
