Busters:
The new software you have recently had deployed on the NB site is a travesty.
I have seen repeated Flash/Shockwave errors that are shutting down my browser with loss of data. I think others are seeing the same.
I see the main window title is no longer meaningful, something that looks like a diagnostic message for developers.
Annoying popups appear regularly. I am sure you think they are paid advertising. I view them as a source of exceptions which are killing my browser.
The load is painfully slow, especially the init time for the comment HTML text area. This leads to errors and lost data.
In general, I would FIRE the software developers you have hired to do this. They are in over their heads and this website is not ready for primetime. Do us all a favor, find somebody who actually knows what they are doing.

March 19, 2007 - 17:29 ET by BlondeNL,
I am not experiencing any of the faults you describe above on either of my computers.
The site isn't appreciably faster than it was.
The only problem I've had is an inconsistency with the HTML tool bar....sometimes it's there...other times, not. That, and only being able to copy one word or one whole paragraph of text....nothing in between. But that's been going on for a while, now.

March 19, 2007 - 17:51 ET by RJSame here. Periodic slow loading, sometimes veeeerrry slow, but so far that's my only problem.....
....except that I can't cut and paste short groups of words any more. When I try, the entire thread is highlighted, all the way to the masthead.

March 19, 2007 - 17:57 ET by DontFeedTheTrollsHmmm, no cut and paste problems here, I just cut and paste from your post. Using Firefox, not Internet Explorer.

I myself haven't had many problems other than occasional slow loading for pages.

March 23, 2007 - 01:32 ET by acumenI figured you had already made a contribution based on your comment - Still blushing over here. Good on you gfrrman. Yes, I was referring to myself as the one being busted after reading your previous comment. I just saw an opportunity to make a shameless plea for more contributions to this very necessary site and used your comment as a vehicle. By no means was I implying that you were not supporting NB.....my deepest apologies gfrrman. Must be time for bed........later.

March 19, 2007 - 18:23 ET by AvatarNL,
I don't see any problems on ANY of the computers I run, from IE 6 to IE 7, everything seems fairly airtight. No offense, man, but it might be on the user end, IE is a fragile bit.

March 19, 2007 - 19:48 ET by NL207The exceptions are being raised by Flash code contained in the advertising you see on the right margin of the page. I don't have the personal cycles to find out what is going on here, but this all started when NB did a major software upgrade about 10 days ago. I have three and sometimes four different computers that I use to access NB. All 4 of them show the problem to one degree or another. IE5, IE6 and IE7 all show the same problems. IE6 and 7 are running the latest flash player. IE5 I can't comment on, but it worked with the site, slowly, but correctly, until 10 days ago. All 4 machines have development tools on them, but I'll be damned if I'm going to track down this problem and fix it gratis.
