Now, deny that there is an idea for a North American Union again, and call me a conspiracy theorist again, and call all the people mentioned in the provided links liars again. I'm keeping count so I can remind you of it over and over again when you finally buck up and admit that it's true.

Lord of Destruction

Lord of Destruction, they're talking about a land shipping lane, you quacking lunatic. It's called a highway, so the canuckians and the mexicans can transport goods to eachother without going over the ocean - MORON !

Hey, here's a union - your face and the pavement !

Get mad, sport!  I love it!

Get mad, sport!  I love it!  You must really be mentally retarded, along with anyone else who's basic argument is that it's not true because you heard it from me.  Jackass.

Long on Dumb

Long on Dumb, I hadn't thought about it, but now since you mentioned it, that's a good idea. Since you said it, it's not true. That sounds like a rule I should soon apply, repeatedly.
In the mean time, Smokey and the Bandit is on, and Molech has asked for another human sacrifice. If you'll excuse me...

Sure, crazies exsist all over

Sure, crazies exsist all over this land.  Just because you have links, doesn't mean that the NAU is going to happen.  Get real, focus on something real for a change.

Unsane knows Unsane very well.  Unsane, along with this annoying habit of referring to himself in the third person, does much critical thinking and studies history quite a lot.  Unsane understands that Unsane can beat the hell out of whacked out conspiracy theorists without too much effort.  Join Unsane as he counts his DOLLARS, PESOS and LOONIES (damn isn't that last word appropriate?) on 31 December 2010!!!

Of course, you may dismiss whatever Unsane says as he lives in a city that is bisected by the "NAFTA Superhighway"...well, Unsane THINKS it's the NAFTA Superhighway...well, the conspiros can't even narrow it down...

You know Unsane? I know Unsan

You know Unsane? I know Unsane too!! : )

The origin of "Unsane"

Why, you happened across 50% of the origin of my screen name!

Permit me to self-indulge:

Back in 1996, I happened across the band "Unsane" as an opening act for Slayer (yes, I am a headbanger, as those familiar with Meshuggah, who I quote to close my posts, would guess).  I had put them aside for quite sometime until it came time to choose a screen name for NB.  I originally wanted to simply refer to myself as "insane", as quite a few people have used that to describe me.  That, or "intense", but "intense" didn't sound like a good screen name.  Not to mention that I figured "insane" was taken.

So I went with Unsane, as a tribute to 1) one of the best concerts I have ever seen (Slayer with the band Unsane as the opener) and 2) and as a tip of the hat to the many who have ever called me insane.  Which in many regards, they are right...

:0)

I have a Slayer story too!

Hee hee, let's just hijack this pos thread.

I know Uns, I think I asked you about it like over a year ago in some post.

T'was the night of 8/12/1988. Me, 2 friends off to the Hollywood Palladium to see Slayer. Arriving a little late & it was in full LAPD riot mode. We walked towards the front entrance to be greeted by the blocked street with cops in helmets and shields yelling to "go the other way!" We turned, went back up to Sunset and walked by the exit doors to the palladium. (they dump onto the street after a show) All of a sudden one of the doors flys open. After a quick look we realised it was a friend of one of the brothers of my friend that was with us. It was suddenly smiles and hi-fives as we walked in thru the back door with ticket in pocket and watch the show.

THE NEXT DAY: The Damned were playing at the John Anson Ford theatre. I had no ticket, but did a fairly good job of altering my Slayer ticket to read The Damned. I went with people who had tickets and knew my chances. The guy took it at the gate, thought I was home free, about 50 feet in all of a sudden I hear " hey wait a minute!" I spent that show sitting on the rocks outside. : (

Dude!  The "World Sacri

Dude!  The "World Sacrifice Tour"!!!  Damn, I would have LOVED to have seen that!

Slayer was friggin' intense.  I saw them in a tiny venue on the near northwest side of San Antonio (The Showcase) that shut down shortly thereafter.  When they kicked off "Raining Blood" the place went absolutely insane!

Of course, one of the more hilarious aspects of the evening was some dude, standing on a chair or some such thing, kept jumping up and down behind me, hitting my shoulders (he was rather intoxicated, I assure you), and screaming, after EVERY song: "ANGEL OF DEATH!!!   RAINING IN FUCKING BLOOD!!!"  over, and over, and over...

I had a blast that evening.  Even so, I must say my fave concerts are the Dream Theater concerts I went to.  Absolutely amazing.  I would do virtually anything to see Meshuggah live, however, if only to see what the death toll is in their mosh pits...   :-)

Where are you NL207?  I wait

Where are you NL207?  I waited a week, and still no sign of you.  Come out and play!  I thought I could count on you for at least a misguided but genuine thought on this.

(exerpt) Last September we reported that Journalist Jerome Corsi has received the first documents pertaining to a FOIA request asking for full disclosure of the SPP office in its activities towards creating a Pan American Union.

According to a report by World Net Daily , the documents reveal that the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" without congressional oversight in conjunction with Canada and Mexico under the guise of a program "to increase security and to enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation."

Corsi asserts that a wide range of US administrative law is being re-written in stealth under this program to "integrate" and "harmonize" with administrative law in Mexico and Canada.

The documents contain references to upwards of 13 working groups within an entire organized infrastructure that has drawn from officials within most areas of administrative government including U.S. departments of State, Homeland Security, Commerce, Treasury, Agriculture, Transportation, Energy, Health and Human Services, and the office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Corsi also reported that at a recent high-level confab in Banff, an assistant U.S. secretary of state, Thomas A. Shannon , chaired a panel that featured a presentation by Prof. Robert Pastor, author of a book promoting the development of a North American union as a regional government and the adoption of the amero as a common monetary currency to replace the dollar and the peso.

According to reports , last Friday at the SPP meeting, Pastor declared that a "very small group" of conservatives is unfairly accusing him of being at the center of a "vast conspiracy" to implement the idea of a "North American Union" by "stealth." He called the charges "absurd."

Yet at the same meeting Pastor acknowledged that he is pushing for a "North American Community", that he believes the U.S. Government doesn't want to enforce its immigration laws, and that the solution is not a fence or increased border security except in some isolated high-crime areas along the border, and it's not to punish companies for hiring illegal aliens, since identity documents can be too easily forged. He said the solution is a national biometric and fraud-proof identification card that identifies national origin and legal status. ---

*Hmmm... " a very small group of conservatives" ?  HA!  More proof that the NB members that attack me for sharing information are NOT conservatives, and have no idea what the word conservative even means.

Do you seriously believe that

Do you seriously believe that any of us actually support this North American Union garbage?

The Congressman you are quoting is Virg Goode from Virginia.  He represents the stretch of VA along the W VA border that holds the Cumberland and Shenandoah valleys.  He's a genuine conservative Republican who supports Bush in the war against Islamofascism but opposes Bush's immigration policies ....  just as many of us NB'ers do, including myself.

I am absolutely opposed to any compromise of United States sovereignty and any political connection whatsoever with Mexico.  Trade deals I do not object to as long as our border remains protected against contraband including the two-legged kind.  Canada is a diferent story.  They have a lot in common with us.  Were Canada to dissolve due to something like French seperatists, I'd support our Congress to consider applying the Constitutional Statehood process to any of the Anglo Canadian provinces that wished to join us, particularly the three that have the most in common with us, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.   I would not support any sort of grand union with Canada as a whole.  As long as they are a whole, they ought to be separate.  period.

I am sorry to dissappoint you, LoD, but here is no way I will ever support this NAU trash anymore than I'd ever let that hive of scum and villainy called the UN have sovereignty over the United States.

Even if the Anglophone provin

Even if the Anglophone provinces of Canada were begging to be annexed by the United States (dream on), I would want nothing to do with them.  Why import Socialists when we have such problems with those of our own?

But neither nation will join with the United States.  Canada's entire existence and reason for living hinges on them being non-American.  LoD STILL cannot explain if this so-called "NAU" is so apple-pie easy to pull off, why is it that back in October 2001 the U.S proposal for the United States and Canada to harmonize its customs laws was greeted by the Canadian government throwing a fit?  As for Mexico: some parts of Mexico have more in common with Central America than with the United States.

Unsane,  please don't lump a

Unsane,  please don't lump all the anglophone provionces together.  The nest of Canadian socialists is firmly rooted in Ontario with a western annex in British Columbia.  The folks in the Canadian maritimes live in their own world quite divorced from the doings of Ottawa.  The folks on the northern plains have more in common with Montana, Idaho and the Dakotas than with Ottawa.

Geez, NL207, you know way too much about Canada.

Having repeatedly visited Can

Having repeatedly visited Canada, I will agree that Alberta is perhaps the most conservative province.  And it should be - Stephen Harper is from there.  But let's face facts - the Socialists of Ontario and B.C. rule that country.  Do YOU see the Manitobans and Newfoundlanders (for instance) running screaming from socialized medicine, or crown-corporation insurance agencies, and other forms of socialistic involvement in the economy?

Let's face it - Canada is highly socialist, and more socialist than they care to admit.

Do you KNOW any of these peop

Do you KNOW any of these people?  Canadians from the maritimes are a fiercely independent lot.  There are  alot of jokes told about Newfies around places like Toronto.  These have content similar to American Polish jokes.

There are two imposing geographic barriers isolating the pieces of western Canada.  The northern plains are sepated from Ontario by the nearly impenetrable badlands north of Lake Superior.  They are also isolated from B.C. by the Rockies.  Commerce on the northern plains runs North-South.

Were the Frenchies to break away, the Maritimes would be isolated.  They feel precious little kinship with anyone else in N.A. as it is.  It would be hard for them to stay part of the Canadian union were Quebec to split off on its own.  I think it would be hard for them to affiliate with the US as well in that situation.

On Canada

In the spirit of full disclosure, I will freely admit that I have visited Alberta, BC, Ontario, and Quebec, as well as the YT.  Meaning, no Maritimes for me.

Indeed, Newfoundland only joined the Confederation in 1949, so I understand what you are saying when you mention its isolation from the rest of Canada.  However, if they lack the socialist tendencies clearly present elsewhere in Canada, why is this not exhibited in either their provincial governments or in their representatives to the Canadian parliament?

Are you f-ing KIDDING me?

Are you f-ing KIDDING me?  You are actually going to say some twisted bullsh*t like that to me, after all the denial you've done?  Just in case you honestly don't realize what you said;  Pastor claims a small number of CONSERVATIVES are the ones claiming conspiracy.  You do know what a conservative is, don't you?   Now you are saying I accuse you of supporting a NAU?  Explain how you reached that absurd conclusion.

'Conservative' does not denot

'Conservative' does not denote conspiracy kook.

"Conservative" is a term denoting a strict constitutional contructionist, someone who supports a more limited Federal Government than the one we presently have.  Conservtism is about the scope of governmental authority relative to the rights of the individual in general and about the relative authority retained by the individual states that comprise this republic and not surrendered to the national government.

You seem to think that real conservatives are distiguished by belief in these conspiracy theories you are constantly propounding here.  That is not what distinguishes a conservative from a liberal.  The differentiator is their views on the powers of the state [or the collective] vs the individual.  No doubt there ARE conservatives that believe this conspiracy rubbish.  But that is not what makes them conservative.  It is their views on limited constitutional authority that distiguishes them.
