February 7, 2007 - 11:39 ET by Tony LockardI was watching CBS with HarrySmith this am and they were working the "winter weather" stories pretty heavily. Just as I suspected, the words "global warming" or "climate change" were never uttered during the report. Imagine if they could concretely pin 11 deaths on "global warming", these people would demand a memorial somewhere for the "victims"...
It just amazes me that they can say this stuff with a straight face.

Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop
Using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down.
Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life f or themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved. If you think this is a good solution to both the problems, forward it to your friends.
I just did.

You jumped (tumbled?) in immediately and implied in a not so round-about way that I was full of merde.

PJ - I've made it my mission
February 7, 2007 - 15:11 ET by Chicago RepublicanPJ - I've made it my mission in life to campaign against him with a vengence during his next re-election campaign.
Finally, my comparison...
February 7, 2007 - 12:15 ET by dmntd1Alright, I promised, and haven’t delivered, my reasons for why I believe that Hillary Clinton, as the personification of the left, is the new Adolf Hitler. I tried retyping it on MS Word, but it was looking to end up WAY TOO LONG for posting on Newsbusters. Here’s a basic summary:
Education: Between Ted Kennedy’s ‘No Child Left Behind’, which was later attributed to President Bush, and the general over-funding of local public schools, The Third Reich also believed in HUGE federal spending on elementary education. This was better to indoctrinate the young students (Hitler Youth) in ways of NAZI’ism. Today’s schools are overwhelmingly indoctrinating students on how ‘Bush is Bad’.
Healthcare: One of the basic tenets of Hitler’s rise to power was through a nationalizing of ‘old age healthcare’ and healthcare for ‘new mothers and infants’. Today, Hillary-care is a standard description of her ideas of cradle-to-grave healthcare.
Profits: Today’s corporations are profiting wonderfully. It is creating new jobs, spreading the wealth around the the various retirement and pension plans. Hillary would rather take those profits, as did the Third Reich.
Individualism: It takes a Village was Hillary’s book regarding how the country should raise its children, and not necessarily how a family should raise their children. The NAZI party states “The rights of parents over the bringing-up of their children… have become a duty undertaken at the behest of the nation and under the supervision of the state and involving unlimited responsibility”.
Law: When liberals don’t get their way, they take it to their preferred judges. The basic belief is “everything which is useful for the nation is lawful; everything which harms it is unlawful.” And they view freedom of speech (for conservatives) as harmful. Oh, that quote was from a NAZI, Frick (first name unknown) in, or around, 1934.
Least Wanted: NAZI’s viewed many classes of people as unwanted: Homosexuals, Jews, Disabled, Mentally un-sound. Liberals substitute their own ‘unwanted’s: Fetuses, Terri Schiavo. They tend to be more for euthanasia principles. Contrary to this would be the death penalty. Then again, they tend to view those sentenced to the death penalty as victims of some other malady.
Gun Control: Both the liberals and the NAZI’s were for the strict control of guns in the general population.
Middle Class:
1) Strength Through JOY!!! A key NAZI program, it allowed middle class ‘volk’ to participate in expensive, state-supported, vacations, including cruises and resorts, and also allowed them to participate in local arts, such as concerts, plays and museums. In 1938 nearly 1.5 million Germans took part in ‘vacation journeys’ sponsored by the state.
2) Beauty of Labor… A government program to pretty-up the factories, making them more attractive, providing hot meals to the workers, better lighting, better ventilation (kind of like our Unions, right lefty?)
3) Minimum wage was a concept in Germany that’s quite unlike ours. In order to keep the factories competitive, without paying too much (the raw materials were too costly), they instead implemented the above two programs, and then STILL had to raise a minimum wage that provided a healthy ‘middle class income’.
4) Labour Service: Recently a Democrat Party senator introduced yet another draft bill. He then changed it to include a ‘civil service’ portion, as opposed to a military-only draft. The Labour service under the NAZI’s was mandatory. “SO now you are marching into the lavour camps. There you will find training in other things than powers of historical and critical analysis, than pure intellect. There you will stand, you young academics, and will be confronted with the spade and the primitive camp and then it will emerge which of you has the will to follow in the steps of those whom the student leader welcoming me referred to,…..”
In reference to two parts above, regarding individualism and education, I end with this quote, from the Programme of the NSDAP (NAZI):
20. The State must consider a thorough reconstruction of our national system of education (with the aim of opening up to every able and hard-working German the possibility of higher education and of thus obtaining advancement). The curricula of all educational establishments must be brought into line with the requirements of practical life. The aim of the school must be to give the pupil, beginning with the first sign of intelligence, a grasp of the nation of the State (through the study of civic affairs). We demand the education of gifted children of poor parents, whatever their class or occupation, at the expense of the State.

Universal Healthcare IS a great idea. One that wouldn't work, due to human nature, but as ideas go, it's GREAT!
Higher taxes on the rich, if you discount the fact that the rich will just hide the profits, or not sell that which would give them the profits, SOUNDS great....
The idea that gun-control will get the guns off the street, seems logical. Until you factor in the fact that the criminals break the laws ANYWAYS, what makes you think they'll obey THIS one?!?

February 7, 2007 - 13:31 ET byWhat most people do not realize is that we are not a democracy, which embraces socialism, which gives birth to communism. We are a republic, as per article 4, section 4 of the US Constitution.
And what many people do not realize is that Hitler was not a communist, Hitler was a nationalist. Germany had a nationalism form of government under Hitler. Hitler was actually against communism--because he did not want to be equated with anyone. Communism seeks to get the entire world under their form of socialist and government control, yet still as individual nations. Whereas nationalism says that their one nation is superior to all other nations and it says that their one nation is right no matter what.

In an effort to move Pennsylvania from being 48th in job creation to 50th in job creation, newly re-elected mobster/governor Ed Swindell unveils his new "vision" of "taxing the sh*t out of everybody to prosperity"… Pennsylvania Democrats are not a bright bunch. The first thing Swindell did last time he got elected was raise the state income tax by 10%.

As soon as the scandal broke, Haggard was removed from his role as pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs and from the leadership of the National Association of Evangelicals.

A bit of brilliance from Neal
February 7, 2007 - 13:43 ET by HumanEventsA bit of brilliance from Neal Boortz yesterday:
"The headline on the front page of yesterday's Naples Daily News read "Indy Moment. Tony Dungy becomes first black coach to win the Super Bowl." It's all about group identity, isn't it? No appreciation of the individual who is Tony Dungy. Its all about his color. Though you may not understand it ... all of this tagging of people with their group identity is part and parcel of the war on individualism."
Thought that was an excellent point. It's not just that it's annoying that the MSM constantly call attention to a person's skin color (before the media brought up this nonsense about this being the first Super Bowl with 2 black coaches the thought didn't even occur to me. Because I see Dungy and Smith as people. Not black people). It's more sinister in that the media, just like Hillary, want to attack individuality and personal freedom.

Little Melissa comes home from first grade and tells her father that they learned about the history of Valentine's Day."Since Valentine's Day is for a Christian saint and we're Jewish," she asks, "will God get mad at me for giving someone a valentine?
Melissa's father thinks a bit, then says "No, I don't think God would get mad. Who do you want to give a valentine to?"
"Osama Bin Laden," she says. "Why Osama Bin Laden," her father asks in shock...
"Well," she says, "I thought that if a little American Jewish girl could have enough love to give Osama a valentine, he might start to think that maybe we're not all bad, and maybe start loving people a little bit. And if other kids saw what I did and sent valentines to Osama, he'd love everyone a lot. And then he'd start going all over the place to tell everyone how much he loved them and how he didn't hate anyone anymore."
Her father's heart swells and he looks at his daughter with newfoundpride. "Melissa, that's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard."

A Department of Homeland Security official admitted today the agency misled Congress when it contended it possessed investigative reports proving Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean confessed guilt and declared they "wanted to shoot some Mexicans" prior to the incident that led to their imprisonment.
The admission came during the testimony of DHS Inspector General Richard L. Skinner before the Homeland Security Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, according to Michael Green, press secretary for Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas.
Culberson was questioning Skinner about a meeting DHS officials had Sept. 26 with him and three other Republican congressman from Texas, Reps. Ted Poe, Michael McCaul and Kenny Marchant.
