People who think this is "low blow" are probably the same people who thought pointing out that Mary Cheney is a lesbian was a low blow. This is the way they live. And the only way it can be read as a cheap shot, is if you think there's something wrong with their lives.
If one hears or reads Senator Boxer's remarks yesterday, she actually equates herself with Dr. Rice, as Boxer's children are too old to be in the military, and her grandchild is too young.

Look, the only way Boxer can get quoted on National TV is to open her mouth and make incredibly stupid comments like she did to Dr. Rice.
Boxer has no credential to criticize Dr. Rice's knowledge base so she went for the ovaries.
Simple as that. Cheap as that. And as silly as that.
