The Plan To Save Iraq...
SARASOTA, FL. (NS/AP/DOD/TWH) -
President George W. Bush presented his case and a course of action for America to help save Iraq from becoming just another Terrorist Rogue Country...
Initially the President said his plan was "simple." While also saying, "there are not enough American Troops to patrol the Iaqi neighborhoods in Baghdad."
After saying that, and with news announced earlier of the first members of the 82nd Airborne arriving outside Baghdad, the President said he would be sending 20,000 more Troops to Iraq to work alongside the Iraqi Military and Security Forces...
Besides boosting U.S. military presence in Iraq, Bush said the United States planned to hold Iraqi government to a series of benchmarks, though he did not say what the consequences for the Iraqis would be. Among those steps:
• The Iraqi government would take over security in all of the country's provinces by November.
• Iraq would pass legislation to share oil revenue among all of Iraq's ethnic groups.
• The Iraqi government would spend $10 billion of its own money on reconstruction.
• A free hand, promised by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, for Iraqi and American forces to enter any neighborhood seen as responsible for sectarian violence.
My intial thought is this is a good move if it means more of our Troops will be able to come home 'sooner' after we go back into the Baghdad neighborhoods that have become Terrorist Havens, along with Iraqi Forces, and 'take back' those neighborhoods...
Having many Friends and a Son who has had their boots on the ground in Iraq, I can tell you those same people all agree with the President's plan...
One of my Friend's recently told newly appointed Secretary of Defense Gates just that, 'face to face', when he came to Iraq on a fact finding trip...
To defeat an Enemy, any soldier knows you must maintain superior firepower and strength. That strength can come either by strength in numbers, strength in intel & planning, strength in determination and the strength of the Military Units to be able to adapt and overcome all obstacles they are presented with...
We MUST make a stand in Iraq against al-Qaida, Hamas, Hezbollah, Shi-ites and Sunnis who are all present in Iraq and fighting not only against eachother, but against the American and Coalition Forces there...
These same people do NOT want a Democratic Iraq to succeed in Iraq. We also can not let that happen. if we lose in Iraq and the Terrorist's take over, there WILL be another Fundamentalist Radical Islamic Regime set up that will set the Middle East back 100 years...
Just look at Afghanistan and the current situation in Somalia where Islamics forceably took control of the Country and the very first thing they did was install another Taliban 'look alike' Government...
There is NO 'middle ground' with these people. They do not follow any moral or man made law, they follow the Quoran and Sharia law...
People need to go and do the research and find out what the options are if the United States of America and her Allies don't draw another 'line in the sand' in Iraq...
The World can NOT tolerate another Radical Islamic Country sitting right beside another volatile Country with a Rogue Leader who is working extremely hard top develop Nuclear Weapons with the 'clear intention' of destroying Israel and driving the 'infidels' out of the Middle East...
That is what will happen if we don't stand up in this fight with GOOD versus EVIL that is going on in the World today...
Nobody actively seeks a War, nobody wants a War. But when we were attacked on September 11th, 2001 by the believers of the very foundation of what we are fighting around the World today, the World changed 'forever'...
If you don't believe that or don't try to understand what I just wrote, shame on you...
The facts ARE the facts and actions speak much louder than words...
Just go back and remember those who have been 'beheaded' by these same Radical Islamic Fundamentalist's in the name of their 'cause and religion'...
America has the obligation and duty to stand up for freedom and we have the obligation to support America...
Either you're WITH us or you're against us. YOU make the call...
This is NO time to 'cow tow' to people who are sworn to our destruction as a Country and would like nothing better to drive us out of Iraq...
Freedom loving Iraqis WILL stand up and will prevail in this situation if they see and hear us here in America supporting THEM...
So again I will ask, are you WITH us or against us in defending freedom and democracy in Iraq???
