Dan Gainor to Fox Business: Benghazi Media Cover-Up to Protect Clinton, Obama

By Katie Yoder | May 10, 2013 | 14:06

A  A

MRC Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor appeared on Fox Business to argue that the media’s lack of Benghazi coverage was for protection of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

After Charles Payne, Fox Business Network Contributor and co-host of “Varney & Co,” noted that the media appeared to either brush off Benghazi coverage or defend the administration, Gainor responded that the media “care most about protecting Hillary Clinton as well as protecting Barack Obama” on May 9.

Dan Gainor to Fox’s Megyn Kelly: Blame Hillary Clinton for Benghazi Media Cover-Up

By Katie Yoder | May 10, 2013 | 12:41

A  A

During a Fox News Benghazi report, MRC Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor argued that the media covered-up Benghazi news out of adoration for Hillary Clinton.

Speaking with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly on May 9, Gainor argued that the media have “been doing this throughout, this is sort of continuation of their policy to minimize a scandal that makes Hillary Clinton look really bad.” He continued to say, “The why is, she’s running for election in 2016, and the media have always loved Hillary.”

NewsBusters Interview: Zev Chafets on Fox News Founder Roger Ailes

By Matthew Sheffield | April 02, 2013 | 15:05

A  A

While most people have never heard of Roger Ailes, they have heard of his famous creation, the Fox News Channel. As basically the sole national mainstream news entity which is not operated on a left-of-center paradigm, Fox News has become almost public enemy number-one to the far left. For many of today’s illiberal liberals, the mere existence of Fox News is enough to induce spittle-flecked rants calling for its forceful closure by the government.

The sheer hatred leveled against Ailes and Fox News was why I was very interested to interview Zev Chafets, about his new biography, Roger Ailes Off Camera.

Joy Behar On Dick Morris Leaving Fox: 'No Shortage Of Dicks At Fox'

By Katie Yoder | February 08, 2013 | 17:27

A  A

Last night, Joy Behar showed her “concern” over Fox News’ firing of commentator Dick Morris.

“Okay, Fox News has gotten rid of Dick Morris … but don’t worry, there’s no shortage of dicks at Fox,” Behar crudely remarked during her show “Joy Behar: Say Anything!” on Feb. 7. Her show airs on Current TV. Behar continued her Fox News Channel bashing by citing Fox’s loss in prime time ratings before noting how Fox “dumped” Morris and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Bozell Column: Murdoch's KGB-Friendly Series

By Brent Bozell | January 05, 2013 | 09:30

A  A

In August, Rupert Murdoch’s FX picked up a Cold War series set in the 1980s titled “The Americans.” Liberals might have braced themselves for the worst. It sounded like some kind of Chuck Norris-style “jingoistic” homage to freedom-loving intelligence agents. But this is Hollywood, so the show instead focuses on KGB spies who speak perfect English, working to destroy Reagan-era America, which is not altogether a bad thing to people in Hollywood.

Joe Weisberg, who worked for more than three years at the CIA, first wrote a script about two  CIA case officers stationed in Bulgaria. Fox bought that script, too...but that project was deep-sixed. Boring. But exploring the daily joys and sorrows of undercover Soviet agents, that just thrills the Hollywood Left. Some things never change.

Nothing to See Here: CNN Dismisses Controversy In Obama Video, 'Old News'

By Matt Hadro | October 03, 2012 | 17:00

A  A

CNN dismissed the controversy behind a 2007 Obama video that just resurfaced, by calling it "old news" and whitewashing the President's own words. CNN even touted its own 2007 coverage of the speech without admitting that it ignored the most controversial part.

Anchor Soledad O'Brien, who has stuck up for Obama more than once before, lamely spun that Obama "was talking about racial discontent and hopelessness because of poverty." CNN's Zoraida Sambolin said "it is old news" and added that CNN "covered it at the time." [Video below the break. Audio here.]

Romney Refers to Benghazi as a Terrorist Attack; AP Treats as News, Acts As If Obama Admin Has Said That All Along

By Tom Blumer | September 25, 2012 | 18:03

A  A

There is clearly no embarrassment threshold at the Associated Press, aka the Administration's Press.

In a dispatch today, an unbylined AP report headlined "Romney: Benghazi a 'Terrorist Attack'" seems to act as if this is some kind of revelation to the GOP nominee even though everyone except Obama administration insiders desperately trying to bring life to the corpse formerly known as the Arab Spring have been saying that for well over a week. It gets much worse than that in the report's third paragraph:

Networks Ignore DNC Benediction: Archbishop Dolan Defends Right to Life & Traditional Marriage

By Ryan Robertson | September 07, 2012 | 15:22

A  A

After offending religious Americans by appearing to boo God, the Democratic National Convention had the top ranking Catholic official in the country perform the closing Benediction Thursday night. Cardinal Timothy Dolan did the same for the Republicans last week in Tampa Bay, but those delegates didn’t seem to have a problem with a party platform that included God and Jerusalem.

The only networks respectful enough to show the prayer in its entirety without interruption was Fox News, Fox Business and C-SPAN. ABC, CNN, and PBS kept it in background while talking over it. MSNBC completely ignored it, cutting the audio feed to let their pundits share their opinions without distraction. CBS and NBC returned to local news affiliates as soon as he began.

By Geoffrey Dickens | September 05, 2012 | 22:40

At the same time his company’s cable outlet MSNBC was having a Democratic  lovefest during the DNC, NBC’s Tom Brokaw had the audacity to deny liberal bias was a problem right to Sean Hannity’s face.

Appearing on Wednesday’s edition of FNC’s Hannity the former NBC Nightly News anchor was challenged by Hannity about his industry’s “bias.” Brokaw, initially tried to deflect the question as he charged: “I think you have a bias to the right” and then resorted to semantics as he feebly countered: “bias is the wrong word.” (video after the jump)

Wasserman-Schultz: 'I Have No Idea' Of Political Affiliation Of People Behind Ad Blaming Romney For Woman's Death

By Mark Finkelstein | August 12, 2012 | 10:49

A  A

Serious question: is there anything—anything!—Debbie Wasserman-Schultz won't say to promote Barack Obama?

On Fox News Sunday, interviewed by guest host John Roberts, the Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee somehow managed to keep a straight face as she brazenly claimed: "I have no idea of the political affiliation of folks who are associated" with Priorities USA, the Super PAC that ran the ad essentially blaming Mitt Romney for a woman's cancer death. But as is undoubtedly well known to Wasserman-Schultz, Priorities USA is run by Bill Burton—Obama's former Deputy Press Secretary. View the video after the jump.

Fox's Chris Wallace Asks Cardinal About MRC's Finding of a Near-Blackout of Evening News on Catholic Lawsuits

By Tim Graham | May 27, 2012 | 20:09

A  A

On “Fox News Sunday,” host Chris Wallace not only interviewed Cardinal Donald Wuerl of Washington DC, but asked him about the MRC’s finding that the broadcast network evening news shows only gave the Catholic lawsuits against Obamacare 19 seconds of air time.

He asked: “I don’t know if you’ve heard this, but it you haven’t, I’ll inform you. What do you make of the fact that the broadcast networks have spent a grand total of 19 seconds this week on their evening newscasts – 19 seconds covering the lawsuits by the 43 Catholic organizations. What do you make of that?” (More transcript as well as video below)

Fmr. White House Science Analyst: FNC ‘Racism Cloaked in Thinly Veiled Code’

By Scott Robbins | May 16, 2012 | 11:49

A  A

Jeff Schweitzer wants to help us “rediscover our inherent good, and act accordingly, individually and collectively,” according to a summary of his book, “A New Moral Code.” Unfortunately, that’s going to be difficult in this “new age of McCarthyism” in which the “Fox hydra” is “tearing apart the fabric of our society with vitriol and venom, lies and half-truths.”

Yes, a news network that doesn’t report as he thinks it should is ruining our nation, and presumably interfering with important consideration of our “own biological destiny” that another of Schweitzer’s encourages.

Hollywood: Driving the Homosexual Agenda for 40 Years

By Paul Wilson | May 10, 2012 | 15:00

A  A

Hollywood celebrities exuberantly celebrated President Obama’s recent declaration of support for gay marriage. But Hollywood did not have to come out of the closet and support homosexuality – it has long used its influence to purposely swing public opinion in favor of homosexuality.

For several decades, Hollywood has shown its overt support for homosexuality. Brokeback Mountain was nominated for Best Picture for its unabashedly sympathetic portrayal of a doomed gay relationship. Newt Gingrich’s half-sister officiated at a gay wedding on “Friends” in the 1990s. More recently, late night talk show host Conan O’Brian officiated at an actual gay wedding.

Bozell Column: 'Glee ' Celebrates the 'T'

By Brent Bozell | April 28, 2012 | 17:02

A  A

It was a very special disco-themed episode of “Glee” on Fox the other night. A new character named Wade from a different high school shared that he was born in the wrong body. He was black, but he said he felt he was born white, and decided to go out on stage at Regionals painted over as a white man. Everyone adored and applauded him as he sang “Boogie Shoes” looking just like the lead singer of K.C. and the Sunshine Band.

If you actually watch “Glee” or just know Hollywood liberals, you know I’m kidding. Of course, he wasn’t a white kid trapped in a black body. Wade was an unfortunate boy “trapped” in a male body. It was Transgender Is Cool night. Everyone must adore and applaud. A new wall is down.

McCain Blasts HBO's 'Game Change': 'Based on a Book That's Completely Biased'

Although Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) kept true to his word that he wasn't going to watch HBO's Sarah Palin-bashing film "Game Change" which premiered Saturday evening, he did have some harsh words about it on Fox News Sunday.

"It's based on a book that's completely biased and with unattributed quotes," McCain said before taking issue with the depiction of him as a vulgar man that asked his campaign manager to find him a female running mate (video follows with transcript and commentary):
