This happened on the syndicated Chris Matthews Show (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

HuffPo: No Sex for Republicans

By Matthew Philbin | November 02, 2012 | 10:38

A  A

As the 2012 campaign nears its close, the left seems increasingly to be shooting from the hip – and aiming at the crotch.

Many conservatives have been appalled by the coarseness of some of the Obama campaign’s missives: things like “vote like your lady parts depend on it,” the Lena Dunham ad associating women voting for Obama with losing their virginity, or every third word out of Joe Biden’s mouth.

And that’s just the official messaging. It gets far worse in the swamps of liberal opinion. How about a visit to The Huffington Post, the online newsletter of the Hollywood left?

In what seems to have been a humor piece in HuffPo’s “Gay Voices” blog, someone named Nico Lang exhorted readers, “If They’re Voting for Mitt Romney, Don’t Have Sex With Them.” That’s right. Think Lysistrata with a lobotomy.

Actual Huffington Post Headline: 'Why Some Women Don't Vote With Their Vaginas'

By Noel Sheppard | October 26, 2012 | 17:03

A  A

Can you imagine the outrage if a conservative author wrote an article titled "Why Some Men Don't Vote With Their Penises?"

On Thursday, MSNBC and Huffington Post contributor Keli Goff actually published a piece that she affectionately called "Why Some Women Don't Vote With Their Vaginas":

Krugman: ‘GOP Policies Much More Likely to Make Us End up like Greece’

By Liz Thatcher | October 25, 2012 | 14:40

A  A

It’s Comrade Krugman’s nightmare. New York Times Columnist and Nobel-prize winning economist Paul Krugman can’t imagine anything worse than a Republican in the White House again. On an Oct. 24 broadcast of Huffington Post Live, Krugman warned that a Romney victory could cause America to become chaotic like Greece. “It's the Republican policies that are much more likely to make us end up like Greece,” he stated.

Unhinged: 'Hating Breitbart' So Much to the Point of Disrupting a Movie Showing

By Matthew Balan | October 21, 2012 | 16:09

A  A

Gateway Pundit blog and Michelle Malkin's Twitchy site both reported on Saturday how Ryan Clayton, a far left contributor to DailyKos and Huffington Post, was escorted out a Friday night showing of the documentary, Hating Breitbart, in Arlington, Virginia, for his outbursts during the opening minutes of the film. Clayton actually makes an appearance in the movie, where he shouted bogus allegations of cocaine use and soliciting male prostitutes at Breitbart in 2011.

I actually played a part in getting the leftist booted out of the theater. I went to the 10:20 pm showing at the invitation of Jason Jones of Movie to Movement, who is a good friend and a former boss. I sat towards the back of the theater, as many of the seats were filled by the time I entered. When the documentary started, Clayton somehow thought it was appropriate to add his own commentary track and laughed like a hyena at various points. I spoke up and told him to stop talking. But he didn't stop.

Huffington Post: 'Americans For Prosperity Distributes Ads Promoting Pro-Slavery Arkansas Legislators'

By Noel Sheppard | October 15, 2012 | 08:54

The liberal media's mission to smear the Koch brothers and Americans For Prosperity, one of the advocacy groups they support, continues.

On Wednesday, the Huffington Post published an article with the inflammatory headline "Americans For Prosperity Distributes Ads Promoting Pro-Slavery Arkansas Legislators":

‘Atlas Shrugged 2’ Gives Media Another Chance to Demonize Rand

By Liz Thatcher | October 09, 2012 | 12:09

A  A

Traditional media weren’t the biggest fans of the movie “Atlas Shrugged: Part I” when it was released in April 2011. With “Atlas Shrugged Part II: The Strike” set to hit theaters on Oct. 12, it’ll be hard to top the derision of the last movie. Most reviews of the first film were short and to the point – this movie was terrible because conservatives, more specifically the Tea Party, will like it.

‘Gospel of Jesus’ Wife’ Comes Under Suspicion of Forgery, Media Bury

By Paul Wilson | October 09, 2012 | 11:47

A  A

Remember that scrap of papyrus the media were screaming about that claimed that Jesus had a wife? Scholars are lining up to dismiss it as a forgery. The Smithsonian Institute canceled its planned documentary on the subject after scholars expressed doubts about its authenticity.

But the media, so quick to report on a scrap that CBS reporter Allen Pizzey argued “challenges the very foundation of Christian thinking,” weren’t so eager to report on the mounting evidence that the scrap of papyrus was a forgery.

HuffPost's Fineman Promotes Biden's 'Genetic Political Talent' and 'Street Smarts'

By Matt Vespa | October 08, 2012 | 17:22

A  A

Howard Fineman, the former Newsweek reporter turned editorial director for The Huffington Post, is excited for the upcoming Vice Presidential debate this Thursday.  You could tell from his column published today, which glorifies Joe as the archetypal debater. It's titled "Obama Needs the Merciless Joe."

To start things off, Fineman threw in a thinly veiled racial remark concerning Biden’s thirst for a political fight saying  “what Biden lacks in academic chops he more than makes up for in street smarts; genetic political talent (his Secret Service code name is "Celtic," enough said); an eye for and an ability to earn the loyalty of brilliant, dedicated staffers; an instinct for the jugular; and a thirst for political combat.”

HuffPo’s Fineman Marvels: ‘Untouched’ Obama to Win Election ‘By Default’

By Randy Hall | September 28, 2012 | 11:58

A  A

Most editors spend a lot of their time assigning, proofreading, copy editing, and fact-checking articles for their news organizations while trying to eliminate any bias in their stories, or at least strive to balance information from both sides of the political aisle.

Judging by a post entitled “Barack Obama Floating Like a Butterfly,” that's apparently not the case with Howard Fineman, editorial director of the Huffington Post and far-too-frequent MSNBC guest.

Alec Baldwin: 'America Will Never Be Great Again Under a Romney Administration'

By Noel Sheppard | September 26, 2012 | 08:28

With absolutely no surprise, America's Hollywood elites are stepping up to the plate to endorse Barack Obama.

Following Madonna's vulgarity-laden endorsement Monday, and Barbara Streisand's love letter last week, Alec Baldwin took to the Huffington Post to show his support for our 44th president.

While liberals and their media minions across the fruited plain call Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney dead as a result of what they believe are serious missteps the past couple of weeks, Robert Reich, Bill Clinton's Labor Secretary, thinks it's too early to celebrate.

Writing in the Huffington Post Thursday, Reich offered "Four Reasons Why Romney Might Still Win" (photo courtesy AP).

Media Hypes Scrap of Papyrus Claiming Jesus Had a Wife

By Paul Wilson | September 20, 2012 | 09:59

A  A

Does one fragment of papyrus “about the size of a small cellphone” contradict centuries of Christian tradition that hold that Jesus was not married? The credulous news media seem to think so – they are publishing stories with titles: “The Gospel of Jesus’ Wife,’ “New Early Christian Text, Indicates Jesus May Have Been Married.”

The New York Times reported that a scrap of papyrus “smaller than a business card,” translated by Harvard professor Karen King, includes this phrase: “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife…’” The rest of the papyrus was cut off – but it was apparently enough for media outlets. CNN’s Belief Blog, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, the broadcast networks, and numerous other outlets blared headlines questioning Jesus’ marital status, including: “Text Reignites Debate: Did Jesus have a Wife?”

Surrealist Theology at the Huffington Post: ‘What I Learned About Drag Queens From the Gospel’

By Paul Wilson | September 18, 2012 | 08:18

A  A

Forget the Letters of Paul. It’s time for the Gospel of RuPaul, at least for the Huffington Post, which celebrated a drag queen take on faith. HuffPo's surrealist theology was fully displayed in a Sept. 16, 2012, article, titled “What I Learned About Drag Queens From the Gospel.”

Rev. Wil Gafney, an associate professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadephia, preached a truly crazy sermon to her congregation, which HuffPo found too good to pass up. Her sermon referred to transgender TV personalities such as RuPaul as theologians. “Drag queens like RuPaul, Sharon Needles and Latrice Royale are some of my favorite critical gender theorists and theologians,” she said.

HuffPo News Flash: Mormons Don't Think Jesus was Black

By Matthew Philbin | September 10, 2012 | 15:27

A  A

Finding racism in ridiculous places: It isn’t just for MSNBC anymore. The Huffington Post has performed a neat trick, exercising its own religious bigotry by accusing someone else of racism. The result is a breathtakingly inane article. (The crusade to re-elect Obama has spurred his media acolytes to heroic exertions, hasn’t it?)

Writing in HuffPo on Sept. 9, Paul Harvey and Edward J. Blum broke incredible news: Mormon iconography commonly includes a statue of a white Jesus! And that white statue first appeared in Salt Lake City in 1966, “the middle of the Civil Rights movement.”

Media Lions Roar at Christian Athletes

By Paul Wilson | September 06, 2012 | 15:39

A  A

During the first centuries of Christianity, Christians were thrown to lions in arenas to be jeered by mocking crowds. Today, Christian athletes face the taunts of a media strongly opposed to their faith.

No Christian athlete draws more media catcalls than New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow. CBSChicago.com writer Dan Bernstein dismissed Tebow as “little more than an affable simpleton” and slammed his fans as “lunatic-fringe cultists.” Columnist Rabbi Joshua Hammerman of The Jewish Week expressed his desire that Tebow’s Broncos would lose a playoff game because a Broncos victory would “buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants.” Radio host Craig Carton was the latest to jump on the anti-Tebow bandwagon, calling him a “fraud” and complaining that he “clearly thinks he is Jesus” on his August 14 radio show.

Anti-Catholic Media Claim Paul Ryan is Not Catholic Enough

By Paul Wilson | September 03, 2012 | 11:04

A  A

Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan is a Catholic – but not a good enough Catholic in the eyes of the media. Writers, bloggers, and talking heads have hammered Ryan for his supposed “dissent” from Catholic teaching.

Journalists have falsely claimed that the bishops “rebuked” Ryan and called his budget “un-Christian.” Writers who usually scorn the Church and its hierarchy fretted that the bishops found Ryan’s budget “uncompassionate.”

Liberal Media Takes Quote Completely Out of Context to Paint Romney as Out of Touch

By Rusty Weiss | September 01, 2012 | 22:39

A  A

Mitt Romney recently took a trip to Louisiana to assess hurricane and flood ravaged areas, and to draw attention to the situation, possibly stirring people and organizations to help those in need.  During the course of his visit, Romney encountered a woman who had lost her home in the flooding.  Jodie Chiarello, according to a joint report from the Huffington Post and Associated Press, gave this account of her conversation with Romney:

"He just told me to, um, there's assistance out there," Chiarello said of her conversation with Romney. "He said, go home and call 211." That's a public service number offered in many states.

You'd think an image of a man violently covering a frightened woman's mouth, accompanied with the words, "He’s decided to become a father…right-wing Republicans want to make sure he does", would be considered mildly extreme, right?

Not extreme enough for Huffington Post contributor and pro-Obama blogger, Erin Kotecki Vest, who posted the image to her Facebook page.

The War on Chick-fil-A, College Football Edition

By Paul Wilson | August 22, 2012 | 14:40

The war against Chick-fil-A, whose COO dared to support traditional marriage, continues. This time, the battlefield is college football – specifically, Chick-fil-A’s sponsorship of two college football games.

OutSports.com editor Cyd Ziegler took to Huffington Post on August 20 with a piece titled, “Stop Chick-fil-A from Forcing College Football Players to Wear Their Logo,” which advocated the end of the Chick-fil-A's sponsorship of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Fall 2012 TV premieres promise to be laden with gay themes, and daytime soap “Day of Our Lives,” will jump on the same bandwagon. The Huffington Post reported openly gay character Sonny Kiriakis will be part of an anti-gay bullying plotline and will suffer a violent attack.

The plot is in lock-step with other anti-conservative story arcs. Sonny’s assailant will be an old friend, Tad, who fears Sonny is trying to “make him gay.”

David Shuster Still Bitter Over Karl Rove Non-Indictment

By P.J. Gladnick | August 17, 2012 | 16:20

A  A

It has been over six years since David Shuster consulted his inner Jason Leopold and boldly predicted that "I am convinced that Karl Rove will, in fact, be indicted." Apparently the bitterness of having to publicly eat crow has lingered to this day to the point that Shuster continues to be obsessed over the fact that the non-indictment of Rove turned him into a laughingstock condemned to the reportorial hell of the no-rated Current TV. Shuster's bile overflows in his Huffington Post Open Letter to Karl Rove slamming him for daring to call ObamaCare's Medicare scheme a cut:

HuffPo Attacks Family Research Council As 'Hate Group' Less Than Three Hours After Shooting

By Paul Wilson | August 15, 2012 | 15:38

A  A

Even after the shooting of a security guard at the Family Research Council, the Huffington Post can’t stop slamming the pro-family organization as a “hate group.” The Huffington Post waited less than three hours before publishing an article which complained about “the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center deems a hate group.”

Contributor Waymon Hudson, in an August 15 article titled “Paul Ryan: Poster Boy of Today’s Extreme GOP,” posted an attack on Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan which slammed the Family Research Council on 1:36 PM – less than three hours after the shooting, which took place around 10:45 AM. Attacking Ryan as an extremist, Hudson complained that Ryan “has agreed to address the Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center deems a hate group, at the organizations annual Voters Value Summit in September.”
