Bill Maher on Tuesday made what people on both sides of the aisle will say is an extraordinary prediction coming from a Tea Party hater like him.
Appearing on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, Maher said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) has a shot at becoming president in 2016 and will be very difficult to beat in the Republican primaries (video follows with transcript and commentary):
I’ve always said that it takes a lot of rationalizations to be a liberal these days.
Take for example HBO’s Bill Maher who told CNN’s Piers Morgan Tuesday that the President had to lie about people keeping their health insurance plans or else ObamaCare mightn’t have passed (video follows with transcript and commentary):
On HBO’s Real Time Friday, the host asked the federal government to legalize marijuana so that he could be able to hand it out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween (video follows with transcript and commentary):
It's with good reason that Bill Maher's liberal politics don't prevent many conservatives from enjoying his comedy.
They know it's just a matter of time before Maher notices that the emperor is strolling down the sidewalk shorn of attire, and Maher will mock him regardless of the target's political affiliation. (Video after the jump)
Bill Maher is very unhappy that rich conservatives are having an impact on politics.
With this in mind, HBO’s Real Time host on Friday encouraged "rich liberals" such as guest Jay Z, Oprah Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg to "get in the game," “pony up” and “buy a state” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Bill Maher on Friday attacked the media – particularly MSNBC’s Chris Matthews – for hypocrisy concerning how they handle sex scandals based on whether or not they like the politician involved.
The HBO Real Time host correctly pointed out that the Anthony Weiner-bashing Matthews absolutely adored John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton who were both involved in far worse sexcapades than the New York City mayoral candidate (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Bill Maher has said some disgusting things about religion before.
Possibly the most disgusting came on HBO’s Real Time Friday when the host actually said, “God in the Old Testament is a psychotic mass murderer” (video follows with transcript and commentary, file photo):
With Grover Norquist’s help, Bill Maher once again made a fool of himself Friday evening.
In the middle of an HBO Real Time discussion about ObamaCare, the host seemed shocked to hear that Bob Dole isn’t a real conservative leading Norquist to derisively comment to former Congressman Connie Mack (R-Fl.), “He doesn’t understand the difference between Reagan and Dole” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
Professor and activist Cornel West made a comment Friday evening guaranteed to anger people on the left.
In an HBO Real Time discussion about the use of drones, after calling the current President a “war criminal” for killing innocent civilians, West observed that most liberals are “morally bankrupt” because they’d condemn George W. Bush for doing this but refuse to voice opposition to Barack Obama (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Like so many in the liberal media, Bill Maher is deeply concerned that George Zimmerman might end up being acquitted for killing Trayvon Martin.
On HBO’s Real Time Friday, the host joked, “If you are a Korean who owns a grocery store in Compton, you might want to get the fire extinguishers ready now” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
GOP strategist Ana Navarro is a CNN regular for good reason – she's the type of Republican the liberal media welcomes in their studios.
Now she's ripped a pro-life group for being "incomprehensible" in opposing Sen. Rob Portman's (R-Ohio) support of gay marriage. Navarro is so much a "big tent Republican," she lectured opponents of same-sex marriage back in March to "get into the 21st century."
It’s really been amazing this past week watching liberal media members that for years have been complaining about Republican filibusters almost universally celebrate Texas state Senator Wendy Davis’s (D) filibuster of an abortion bill that clearly would have passed if she hadn’t.
Count Bill Maher amongst the hypocrites, for having just two months ago called the filibuster a “quiet coup” that is a Constitutional problem, the HBO Real Time host Friday referred to Davis as a “new political star” and her actions as “heroic” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
HBO’s Bill Maher once again made a fool of himself on national television Friday.
After making the truly absurd comment during a discussion about hydraulic fracturing, "How anyone with children defends contaminated water I’ll never know,” the Real Time host was thoroughly smacked down by economist Niall Ferguson (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
HBO’s Bill Maher went on another irrational, nonsensical rant against Ronald Reagan Friday.
After calling arguably one of the best presidents in American history “the original, official pitchman for bats—t,” the Real Time host said Reagan was “the man most responsible for our decline” (video follows with transcribed lowlights and commentary):
