Saturday Night Funny Video: Who Won the ‘First Lady Debate’?

By Brent Baker | October 28, 2012 | 00:29

A  A

A pretty funny bit from ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live proving some people accept whatever they are told and have no hesitation about pronouncing their opinion on it. Even if it never occurred. Kimmel sent a camera crew onto Hollywood Boulevard, outside his Los Angeles studio, to ask people who “won” the “First Lady Debate”?

As excerpted, the Thursday before last, at the end of FNC’s Special Report with Bret Baier, passers by weren’t shy about sharing their assessments of how Michelle Obama and Ann Romney performed in the supposed “First Lady Debate.”

CBS Boosts Jimmy Kimmel Trashing Palin as 'Crazy Moose Lady'

By Matthew Balan | July 18, 2012 | 13:27

A  A

For the second straight day, CBS This Morning on Wednesday promoted a liberal comedian attacking a prominent Republican. ABC's Jimmy Kimmel denigrated former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a "crazy moose lady" on his late night program the previous evening. Despite this insult, Kimmel hinted that Palin was still better than current GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. [audio available here; video clip below the jump]

The CBS morning newscast featured the insult during their regular "Eye Opener" segment just after the top of the 7 am Eastern hour. On Tuesday, the same segment publicized Stephen Colbert likening Romney's tenure at Bain Capital to the cannibalistic Donner Party.

Saturday Night Funny Video: Woman Scolds Local TV Reporter: ‘Total, Complete Killjoy’

By Brent Baker | February 05, 2012 | 01:19

Not everybody appreciates live local TV reporting. When an unusual snowstorm hit Seattle a few weeks ago, the local NBC affiliate sent a reporter to cover people sledding on city streets. And, as caught by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, some hilarity ensued in the reaction of one displeased woman holding an inner tube.

“Sometimes when covering the dangers of sledding and cars on slick roads,” FNC’s Bret Baier explained in setting up the clip on the January 20 Special Report, “it’s not just the cars that are the danger.”

Saturday Night Funny Video: Silent Film ‘The Artist’ Treatment of a Republican Debate

By Brent Baker | January 29, 2012 | 02:24

Playing off the “best picture” nominated motion picture, The Artist, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night created its own version of the black and white silent movie – but with a twist, using video clips from NBC’s Republican presidential debate of the night before.

FNC ended Thursday’s Special Report with the pretty inventive video created by Kimmel’s staff. Bret Baier set it up by suggesting the Republican candidates “are trying a new tactic and they’re taking to heart a long ago era, a different kind of movie.”

Saturday Night Funny Video: ‘International Wall Street Occupier Registry’

By Brent Baker | October 23, 2011 | 01:02

A  A

I noticed Saturday Night Live was a re-run and so decided to see what I could come up with for a comedy clip tonight – though I got a late start looking because I spent my Saturday night in Washington, DC attending the hockey match-up between the only two undefeated NHL teams. (There is now only one, the Capitals, following a 7-1 “routing” of the Detroit Red Wings!)

Tonight, from the end of FNC’s Special Report back on Wednesday, October 12, a comedy bit produced by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live spoofing the anti-capitalist Occupy Wall Street protesters with the opportunity to sponsor a protester via the “International Wall Street Occupier Registry.” Afterward, host Bret Baier quips: “Capitalism at work.”

Saturday Night Funny Video: Making Fun of ‘Occupy Wall Street’

By Brent Baker | October 09, 2011 | 00:25

A  A

It’s been a month, but here's another entry in my semi-regular series of Saturday night humor postings for NewsBusters drawn from the clips Bret Baier runs at the end of FNC’s Special Report which he and his staff usually select from video montages picked up off the late night comedy shows.

Tonight, from this past week’s Tuesday night program, a brief comedy bit produced by ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live which answers the question of “what do we want?” posed by leaders of the far-left “Occupy Wall Street” protests. The reply is both accurate and humorous.

Actress Eva Longoria Trashes 'Dangerous' 'Extremists' Who Oppose Obama

By Scott Whitlock | September 28, 2011 | 18:03

Actress Eva Longoria appeared on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live to trash the "dangerous" "extremist movement" that opposes Barack Obama. The Desperate Housewives star became just the latest celebrity to smear Tea Partiers.

Longoria didn't directly identify the group as the target of her anger. However, she made her point clear, fuming, "...[Obama] keeps getting beat up lately because there's such an extremist movement happening and it's a very dangerous."

Video: Jimmy Kimmel's Rent-A-Cops Pose as Active Duty While Film Crew Burns Pro-Life Protester with Spotlight

By Jill Stanek | July 13, 2010 | 10:27

Read backstories here, here, and here.

In my last post I said Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust would soon upload video of retired and off-duty rent-a-cops posing as on-duty cops at the Jimmy Kimmel stunt shoot, when cameramen turned their spotlights on a teen pro-life protester.

Following are a couple.

In this 1st video Troy Newman of Operation Rescue realizes the pretense and calls the posers on it. They sheepishly do not deny Newman's claim....

Pro-Lifers to Sue Jimmy Kimmel

By Jill Stanek | July 09, 2010 | 18:03

A  A

Read backstories here and here. Click photo to enlarge.

My July 2 post ended with:

I asked whether there was going to be a lawsuit for the June 25 attempt to light-fry Ryan Bueler and was told he hadn't decided whether or not to file. I hope he does. Stay tuned.
Today I heard word that Bueler and perhaps one other are indeed planning to sue:
We will cast a broad net, suing crew members individually; security guards; retired officers posing as active duty and off-duty cops acting as if they were on duty to thwart our attempts to get the assault to stop; the company that hired the camera crew, which may be different than Kimmel; and yes, Kimmel.
Re: those retired and off-duty policemen, allegedly there were a number of them dressed in uniform for Jimmy Kimmel's stunt shoot who posed as on-duty cops to the pro-life activists when the skirmish began, and apparently they were all caught on video. If true, this would be bad, very bad for their side. In fact, I'm told video of the posers will be made available over the weekend. Again, stay tuned.

Pro-Life Activists Disrupt Jimmy Kimmel Show Taping

By Jill Stanek | July 02, 2010 | 18:04

A  A

Read backstory here. Huffington Post and FishbowlLA have also now picked up on this.

I ended my post yesterday with the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust staging a protest in front of comedian Jimmy Kimmel's home yesterday morning.

They followed that with a protest at Kimmel's studio on Hollywood Blvd in LA yesterday afternoon.

I should mention the Survivors have been holding their annual pro-life boot camp since June 21 (ended today), so these protests have all numbered nearly 100 kids.

So while the Survivors were protesting late yesterday afternoon there was an announcement that free tickets were still available for last night's Kimmel show taping, which was incidentally outdoors.

Four Survivors each snagged one. They decided to disperse themselves throughout the audience, wait 20 minutes after taping had commenced, and then begin raising a ruckus, imploring Kimmel to stand up for free speech and condemn the actions of his lighting crew....
