The NAU thread from TP is getting lengthy and is most likely going to turn hostile, so I thought I'd start a fresh one here:

Avatar demanded from the NAU alarmists what the plan was for replacing the US government. Hostilities flare as ScottyDog sought to associate The Avatar with "GWB kool-aid drinkers". The Avatar asserts that in order to claim the NAU's plan to make a single North American Government, you must have rationally thought through a plausible process which those in charge would take to make this happen. If you assert this, but have no plausible explaination as to how, then you're just another cliche alarmist. He has yet to get the word. We pick up where we left off: What process must take place in order to replace the governments of the US, Canada, and Mexico, without the public say-so? Begin.

August 14, 2007 - 04:44 ET by Ten7sI suppose in the most general sense you could say that, but more specifically: Most domestic Federal powers over the States derive from the Judiciary's absurdly expansive interpretation of the 16 words in Article I, Section 8, Clause 3, aka "The Commerce Clause", aka "The Interstate Commerce Clause", aka "The Foreign Commerce Clause". And now with the Trilateral and multilateral trade treaties (dubbed "agreements" so as not to require a 2/3s majority of Congress for ratification), we could additionally call it 'The International Commerce Clause', because just as the Federal used it as a pretext to expand its powers exponentially within the borders of the United States at the expense of the States and the People, the Federal Government is using trilaterial/multilateral “Commerce” "Agreements" to expand its influence without the borders, at greater and greater sacrifice of the rights to representation (among others) that we have as Americans.
*As an aside, the long, steady, consistent seizure of power by the Federal and erosion of power of the States culminated in a Judicial declaration that the Ten Amendment to the United States Constitution is a meaningless tautology. From that point forward, the Federal Government has been running roughshod back and forth across the States, and quite frankly the Citizenry as well.

Both sides of this are right. There isn't much hope for the governments of Canada, Mexico and America to openly work officially together. However, all three governments are loosely held in check by the corporations, who aren't held by legal boundaries or currency.
For the record I am a free trade guy.
