Liberal Lies: the U.S extradites people to other countries to torture --- Truth: We do not.

Why can't liberals keep their lies straight? Either we are filling up Guantanamo with innocent muslims that we torture torture torture or we send them to other countries for all the torturin'. No contradictions there huh?
troglodyt: This is interesting because the former government did extradite people for purposes mentioned above. (the U.S. extraditing people to other countries with the knowledge and the intent that they will be tortured there)
JWF: Name individuals. Name the specific laws that were broken.
troglodyt: I hope this source satifies you.
troglodyt's first accusation against his own citizens - Maher Arar.
Maher Arar is a liar.
I see that Maher Arar, the huckster who lied his way into $10.5 million of our tax dollars, has had less luck with the U.S. legal system than he had with ours. A U.S. appeals court threw out his nuisance claim against the U.S. government.
Now, that's not quite fair of me, is it? I mean, it's not fair to Canada's legal system because, had Arar actually gone to trial here, his case would have been thrown out, too. Arar's testimony would have been torn to shreds; he would have wilted under cross-examination. He would have been proved the liar that he is.
So, let me retract and apologize: Arar did not have good luck with our legal system. He had good luck with a politicized inquiry that bore his name -- the Arar Inquiry -- but in which he never testified. Of course he didn't: he doesn't want to answer questions.

Here's a repeat of my blog entry on the subject from January:
Maher Arar was declared by the breathless mainstream media to be a saint whose lamb-like innocence was never tainted by association with terrorists.
Word comes from another media darling -- Omar Khadr -- that Arar in fact was at an Al Qaida safe house in Afghanistan on various occasions, contrary to Arar's denials of ever being in that country.
All of which vindicates one of the most important cover stories the Western Standard ever ran, entitled "What really happened to Maher Arar?" You really must read it -- you'll learn things that just haven't been reported elsewhere, ranging from that fact that Arar's purported injuries from "torture" were never examined by an independent doctor; that when he was picked up by Canadian diplomats in Syria, he showed no signs of torture whatsoever -- only signs of not having bathed. Those are just two little tid-bits. Really: read the whole thing. It's a great story, written by Kevin Steel. - source********
Yet in all that time and for all that money, no medical evidence was presented that demonstrated Arar had been physically tortured. No doctor testified. A psychiatrist did testify about the psychological effects of torture, but on physical torture, none.
Arar was never cross-examined on his allegations because he did not testify at the commission that bears his name.
...
While he was imprisoned, Arar, who was closely monitored by the Syrians, made only one negative statement to the Canadian consular officials who visited him
...
Yet the entire time he was in the Syrian prison, the Canadian officials who visited with Arar saw no signs of physical abuse. As for his condition when he got out, one Canadian eyewitness-- speaking to the Western Standard on condition of anonymity--who saw Arar in Syria only moments after his release from jail, put it this way: "If you call not being able to shower for 10 months torture, then I guess he was tortured. But from what I saw, he didn't look like he had been tortured." - source
troglodyt, contrary to popular opinion, I don't hate you. I don't think you purposely lie. But you have a serious problem. You believe people that lie to you. You believe people that lie to you because you want to believe it.
I was in the U.S Navy for 20 years. I never broke a U.S Law. I knew of no one that broke a U.S. Law. I would tolerate no one breaking a U.S. Law ever. Everyone I knew had the same attitude.
Your first try - FAIL. I could go on and on about the Maher liar. Check the 2 links I posted.
