This is my first shot at this forum. Cut me some slack please.

My Talking Points...starting with the new top dog in the cable networks.

Yes, I watch the Factor, it's a fast moving, no nonsense, quick look at hot button topics. Bill is an enigma of sorts. He spouts off about being balanced and fair, no slouch when it comes to tooting his own horn. He a braggard and a hot tempered Irishman. But I watch him because he does manage to give some liberals, not all, enough time for them to hang themselves, making at least an attempt at no-spin. But it's really just enforced for his opponents.

But he has an agenda just like everyone else, but he maintains his no-spin mantra because he won't let the opposing views have time enough to counter his talking points before he cuts them off with his shouting. He's a bully, no doubt about it, but I like the fast pace and I learn more in a shorter time than any other program. I thought the editor of the NH newspaper did a credible job of countering his classic put-down of people who refuse to face up to his harangues... "He/she is hiding under his/her desk." An over-the-top slap at anyone who doesn't come on his show. I am no admirer of Michael Moore, but I thought he gave Bill more than he could handle, although I doubt if Mr. O'R sees it that way.

But more to the point, who is it that is controlling the "mainstream" media? It's the same generation of hippie counterculture socialists who have strangled the life out of the public school system. They grew up on socialist pabulum which says, in effect: Capitalism is bad; religion is the opiate of the masses; and the progress of mankind is being hampered by the HAVES controlling all the wealth and keeping the masses poor and in servitude. It's a class warfare and the struggle for power is an economic one. The duty of the HAVENOTS is to get the wealth and power away from the HAVES in order to form a more perfect society through the redistribution of wealth so all classes of society have access to a decent living standard.

The establishment is the enemy and social reform is the goal. The ties to capitalism must be severed and moral values must be changed to form a more perfect and universal world society for the advancement of mankind and the elimination of war. The educational system is the first institution which must be reformed to make these changes. War and capitalism are tied together in this scheme of world peace so that neither one is ever an option. Mantras like "Make love, not war!" were the rallying cries of the counterculturalists. Sexual mores were thought to be a restrictive influence, hampering cultural progress with strict Puritanical values, which was part of the mantra of the leftists. It was so much easier to engage people in the Woodstock Concerts if they didn't get all hung up on living arrangements.

When the masterminds of the left (read David Horowitz's columns) gathered large crowds of people in one place, and let them loose to experiment with free sex and escapist substances like LSD, then these communist/socialist funded events became easy pickings for rallying the young and the restless to their socialist schemes. They were out to destroy American culture with its "outmoded" Western civilization values. In a word, Western values (more accurately, Judeo/Christian values) were the cause of all the oppression of people across the world. This may seem like an oversimplification, but its foundation is the same as for multiculturalism--America is at fault for all the troubles in the world; we need to respect other religions and cultures as being equal to ours.

Our founding by people who were being religiously persecuted in Europe, and our founding documents which reveal a great reliance on God, and the 1892 Trinity Decision of our U.S. Supreme Court which agreed unamimously, after studying founding documents for ten (10) years (yes I mean 10 years!), that America was a Christian nation founded upon the Laws of the Judeo-Christian God of the Bible: all these principles and values, which were once treasured at the highest levels in our government and produced freedom of religion and prosperity unprecedented in human history, notwithstanding, we should be ashamed of these values, feel guilty about our wealth and power, bury our weapons of war and throw down our arms, and respect other religions and cultures as equal to ours.

Why? Because it's the fair thing to do. It's the multicultural way. It's the way to make all people feel like they count regardless of their heritage or their achievements. We are to consider all cultures as equal (unless they are Christian based), throw away everything that made this country great (so we can make the playing field level), be ashamed of our successes (so we can share others' sense of failure), have tolerance for others who come from failed economic systems (because capitalism is evil), have respect for their pagan religions which keep them in darkness (because all religions are equal), adopt their cultural ways as our own (because all things are relative), and never ever criticize another person's values (try to understand their beliefs, even if they believe that we should be exterminated; we probably deserve it anyway). Have you ever heard of such a defeatist way?

This exemplifies the leftist mindset. Everyone should be equally miserable and share the pain. We would feel better about ourselves if we didn't feel so good about ourselves. We could learn to appreciate others' failures and miseries. The liberal media comes from an educational atmosphere where these things are taught. It's deeply ingrained in the schools. A majority of most college faculties were raised in the counterculture generation. And these media types are just expressing their ingrained educations and amoral values. They always need a whipping boy to vent their frustrations from being weaned too early (or whatever), so they vent their enmity with God and their rage against all that's unfair in the world against Christianity and George Bush, because they make such easy targets and someone has to take the blame for not having world peace and making things fair.

And what would they consider fair? Well, we can't just have absolute law, we must have a chance to reason things out, so maybe we should form a committee? Maybe a better idea would be to turn our justice system over to the U.N. where world standards would make everything fair (like it does in the oil for food program?).

Is the liberal media aware of these things? Yes and no. They hold to all these same values but they reason themselves into believing that their cause is good, at least their intentions are good, and the question of bias in these beliefs never enters their minds. Why should it? Their worldview is like their religion, it's sacred and has to be true. It's all they've ever heard. The ideas of conservatives are like blowing into the wind, voices in the wilderness. Why, they never heard of such silly things. How mundane of us to challenge the elites of the media. They are still mesmerized by the power they once wielded in the 60's and 70's. It's like the mantras in the Beatles' songs. They are in a time warp and refuse to budge!
