Why polls are important

I did this thread almost two years and I said that polls are important.  As you can see by some of the comments, people automatically assumed that I was a democrat and I was delighted that the polls showed that Obama was in the lead. With the exception of Florida and Ohio "which Obama won" most polls called almost every state correctly

I said that polls are important because they can tell how the majority of the people are thinking at the moment. As of now according to polls, democrats are in big big trouble.
