Why is the MSM and Hollywood so biased?

Since I have joined this site, I have learned that a msm and Hollywood bias does in fact exist. Many people if they want to admit or not always have an ulterior motive. What motive do these people have?

In a perfect conservative world, we would have a strong country, the economy would be strong, our enemys would be scared sh*tless of us, our taxes would be low. I can't help but to think that would be beneficial to the Hollywood elite, considering they make lots of money and their taxes would be lower?

The only reason I can think of is that Conservatives are strong on social issues and what can and cannot be shown on the public airwaves and that would hinder what Hollywood and the msm want to show. The left does not like to be dictated to about what is morally right. If the Republican party did not focus as much on the social issues, would Hollywood still hate them?

If the reason is not social issues, I'm curious on what the reason might be. Thoughts?
