My father-in-law was buried today with full military honors at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. He served in WWII in the Army Air Corps and flew 50 missions as a gunner on-board a B-24 Liberator. He enlisted at the age of 18. He was always proud of his service to his country and we are proud to honor his memory.
I'm not posting this for the sake of looking for sympathy. I just want to remind everyone to "Never Forget".
P.S. The only regret I have today is that the letter that the family will receive from the POTUS will be signed by Barack H. Obama.

The Greatest Generation is slipping away from us at a more rapid pace.....we must never forget what they did for us, and the rest of the world. Once a year on D-Day is not enough.
Godspeed to a fine gentleman. You and your family are in my thoughts.
I hope he fails, too.
