Tuesday Morning
For those of you nearby or familiar with store chain called "Tuesday Morning" I'd like to post for you an episode (in the form of my letter to their HR dept) of another company telling employees to not say Merry Christmas.
Hello,
My mother was in one of your stores several days before Christmas. The cashier wished her "Happy Holidays." My mother reciprocated with "Merry Christmas," at which time the cashier voluntarily said that she was "not allowed to say Merry Christmas" as an on-the-job employee there.
This is ridiculous, and I am sorry to see yet another company's leadership bow to the nonsensical groups pushing political correctness on everyone and language policing everyone at every possible turn. It's Christmas, and wishing "Merry Christmas" is traditional and in no way harmful to anyone. I realize this is the choice of Tuesday Morning leadership, but it's something pushed down from corporate "leaders" who have no backbone, bowing to the demands of loudly voiced, yet very small, groups who are looking to decide the language, mannerisms, etc, of everyone in America. Companies and others that give them any credence whatsoever are assisting them in their quest for control of as many aspects of American life as they can grab.
My family and many friends will no longer be customers at Tuesday Morning.
