28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
This is not enough to suit TM.
30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat."
TM is making the same demands today.
32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
They never stop demanding. They're never satisfied and they don't want to learn. They just continue to have their own selfish demands met.
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.
He performed miracles among them as well and they still had no faith in Him. Therefore, TM's criteria falls far short, and wisdom is justified by her children.
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
Or the will of the followers for that matter. Shall I put God to the test?
But skip down to verse 64 of the same passage.
64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
- And what was the result of all this demand for more mass miracles?
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
Hence, justification is by faith alone, but not by the faith that is alone.
And this is my last comment in this thread.

To him who believes, no explanation is necessary; to him that believeth not, no explanation is possible.

Just as a child knows 1+1=2 will grow up to know Algebra, Trigonometry, Taylor's Theorum, Calculus, etc. The child knows in part. The fullness of knowledge does not invalidate what is known now.
1+1 is not always equal to 2, and I can prove it both ways, given the initial conditions and assumptions, lol.

it sounds like "know" more than you do
February 28, 2008 - 12:29 ET by TruthMongerI've never said we don't "know" some things, we just don't know everything - faith is our life and existence
for instance can you prove that 1+1=2? or do you just have enough evidence to satisfy your faith - to "know in part" like the rest of us:)
here's your big chance...
