Things Liberals Don't Need the PATRIOT Act for
With everyone complaining about how the PATRIOT Act spies on citizens and infringes on their privacy, I thought I'd make a list of ways liberals invade our privacy on a daily basis - with no complaint from anyone.
Feel free to add your own suggestions below.
Things liberals do without the PATRIOT Act:
Attempt to censor a private citizen by intimidating his employer.
Wiretap the phones of political enemies to spy on their conversations.
Retrieve FBI files for personal use in attacking political enemies.
Force you to tell them exactly how much money you earned last year and where that money went.
Use racial profiling to determine college loans, mortgages and employment trends.
Force you to produce four different types of ID to get a driver's license.
Subpoena a private citizen to appear before a hearing and hand over personal correspondence without an actual charge being filed.
Call into a TV show on the air and publicly attempt to censor a speaker.
Keep detailed records of your child's test scores and punish the school if your child doesn't pass.
Record every senior citizen's medical activity and tell doctors what medicine would be appropriate.
Denounce a political speaker on the floor of the Senate for something they didn't even say.
Dictate who is allowed to visit you in the hospital.
Force you to give detailed accounts of hunting rifles purchased.
