Free, I would add Arlen
November 10, 2008 - 21:04 ET by Trix RabbitFree, I would add Arlen Spector (sp?) During the Clinton impeachment, he recused himself basing his reasons on some obscure law from Scotland.
He's not one to follow the Constitution. He's just a plain idiot.
Liberal: a power worshipper without power. George Orwell
I thought I heard that he was going to run as a Dem
November 10, 2008 - 21:27 ET by Dee Bunkwas that a joke? He certainly should.
I used to like Huckabee
November 10, 2008 - 21:26 ET by Dee BunkI didn't want him to be President, but I really liked the way he talked about religion and thought he could be a good conservative voice on that issue.
I finally caught his show the other day and it was the one with Richard Dryfus and Bill Maher. It was horrible. He let Dryfus lecture the audience for about 20 min practically uninterrupted. It was sick. He was better with Maher but practically endorsed his film saying Christians should be happy to be challenged.
From what I understand, Maher's film didn't go to authorities on the subject and they lied to people and edited them unfavorably. I agree that Christians should be okay with being challenged, but not being ambushed and treated unfairly.
Huckabee appears to be another Republican in a long list that thinks if you are just nice enough to liberals, they will respect your views. Wrong - they are users. IF Bill Maher were to have Huckabee on his show - I'm quite certain he wouldn't be as nice to Huck as Huck was to him. He would try to make him look like a fool.
I'll never watch Huckabee's show again. It was horrible.
Huck
November 13, 2008 - 14:45 ET by UnsaneI actually wanted to give Huck a chance, then I read his horrible foreign policy piece in Foreign Affairs from January/February 2008. I was in the midst of a flight as I was reading it. It was all I could to to stop myself from losing my temper.
I don't want Huckabee anywhere near the national scene. But, unfortunately, there are a lot of people who like him out of identity politics. My parents voted for him "because he sounded so good!" I told them that the reason I think they voted for him had to do more with the fact that he is a preacher (my parents have begun going to church in the first time that I can remember). They fell silent. I suspect I have them pegged.

If you juice Huckabee and
November 13, 2008 - 15:08 ET by Conservative VoiceIf you juice Huckabee and McCain's conservativeness you would get President Bush. That is you still wouldn't get a strong conservative. Romney's conservative juice would still fill the cup more than the combined juice of Huck and McCain.
Huckabee is a strong social conservative, and speaks well. I do like the fair tax...but prefer the flat tax. Other than that Huck is a populist, who played the class envy card and the religion card too much.
More RINOs
November 11, 2008 - 12:14 ET by LionKingAvatar's Comprehensive RINO Purge List Addendum
November 11, 2008 - 16:38 ET by AvatarStart right at the top, RINOS that need to be dismissed or otherwise not welcomed back:
John McCain
Peggy Noonan
Lindsay Graham
Olympia Snow
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arlen Specter
Lincoln Chafee
Rudy Guiliani
Chuck Hagel
Mike Huckabee
Ron Paul (not a moderate, but a lunatic)
Colin Powell
We DO NOT want to meet the democrats halfway. The Democrats never want to meet half way, they always want their way, therefore 'compromising' with them is the same as caving to them. The above are guilty of this, and do not deserve conservative support.

I agree with your list except for Rudy Guliani
November 11, 2008 - 16:48 ET by Dee BunkI know he's also very liberal on some issues but he is such a good advocate - I love when he argues with liberals. I wouldn't want to see him in a policy making position other than heading Homeland security but his arguments with liberals would be truly missed by me if he were gone.
He has a great way of laughing at their ridiculous statements.
On that front, i agree with
November 11, 2008 - 17:46 ET by AvatarOn that front, i agree with you, i wouldn't want him in a policy making decision, such as the presidency or the senate.

Suggestions for Giuliani
June 30, 2009 - 19:16 ET by UnsaneI wouldn't waste talent like Giuliani's at a position like Homeland Security.
I think he'd be an awesome SecState or SecDef.

Oh, Yeah...
November 13, 2008 - 22:56 ET by Kimberly...Colin "Judas" Powell should get kicked out for good and should never even be allowed to come near the gates again.
Hey, Colin, let's not forget who made you look good on the national scene. Republicans are color-blind. But, hey, you want to betray your party in too many ways to name, go right ahead. If you want to cozy up to Barry and his left-wing racist anti-military buddies, go right ahead. Maybe you can get a position in Barry's Cabinet--hey, it could happen. Or maybe you'll be tossed aside now that your endorsement has been registered and Our Lord Messiah Barack Hussein Obama is preparing to ascend to his throne, and you'll never be trusted again since you proved you can't be trusted to be a loyal party man.
Meanwhile, pack your bags and leave your Republican party card at the door. You don't want us, fine. We don't want pretend Republicans any more, either.
come on!
November 12, 2008 - 21:56 ET by candanceI can't believe that no one has thought of Bloomberg or Crist.
I'm a typical white person.
Comments
November 13, 2008 - 14:48 ET by UnsaneBloomberg is long gone from the party, so I think he's been dispatched.
I just scanned this thread. Anyone mention that whiny defeatist Bill Kristol? He needs to go.
Avatar is right. Ron Paul is an embarrassment to the state of TX and needs to be packed off and shipped to the Libertarians.

I condsidered adding
November 13, 2008 - 15:19 ET by AvatarI condsidered adding bloomberg, but lets face it, NO ONE thinks he's a republican. He just switched parties to ride Guiliani's coat tails to get his job now.
Plus, personally, i don't think mike would do well trying to get into national politics, he's successfully alienated both parties.

One name...
November 13, 2008 - 22:46 ET by Kimberly...must head this list.
John F'ing McCain.
Didn't support Sarah when she was being assaulted by his own staff. Didn't care about our Conservative values. Ran the sorriest campaign in history--he had Obama on the ropes but refused to go in for the kill, and left all the hard work to Palin.
Most telling: The Democrats are happy to see "the old John McCain" return. 'nuff said.
Lets update this list!
