Prose for the times that are a'changin
I just wanted to share with readers a piece of prose that reflects my attitude for the past ten years. I've been adding on when I can, but there is so much material out there that it will become way to long. It already is. I am just trolling for comments - pro or con. Feel free to use any part you wish and enjoy. Based on "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe which I recommend you read first to sort of get into the rhythm. Note: Sorry,I do not know how to format in this venue.

once upon election year, while i pondered, filled with fear
over choices, none so clear as whom to be our countries guide
soon as i began my thinking, there came a stench, a powerful stinking
as if there was something sinking, sinking into ooze outside
"is this my country?" i decried slipping into ooze outside
what to do to turn the tide
ah, distinctly i recall it was november, in glorious fall
promises made to one and all let me be the one to guide
anticipating freedoms voice as if we really have a choice
refusing even to rejoice - rejoice on how our feelings died
of being able to decide on dishonorable men intent to hide
we're being taken for a ride
and then the sudden realization, that this once great God fearing nation
could adore an abomination such as never seen beside
the talking heads that spew forth venom onto cable he would send them
absolving all the crimes and then some seemingly on over glide
let all be told to look no further there's nothing here we have to hide
i've never never ever lied
and then appeared an apparition, a sorry sight full of contrition
who's words were only of omission, unspoken words of which implied
that what is right i do not follow, i don't inhale she didn't swallow
inside a mind that's oh so hollow the train of thought that did reside
inside a man who's soul is forfeit for there's nothing that he hasn't tried
quoth the clinton "i have no pride"
soccer moms and melanin empowered rallied round so much they towered
denying sight of the little coward who the loyal want to chide
bowing down to unknown leaders upper crust the master breeders
they absolve the bottom feeders who trash the honest who replied
that duty and honor really matter - it matters what you are inside
impeach the one who has no pride
forth they came unto the steeple to the forum of the people
but it turned into a seep hole draining off the righteous side
bolstered by the asses backing prodded by the pollsters tracking
common sense was surely lacking truth itself has been denied
lost in space forever floating gloating over those who tried
quoth the clinton "i have no pride"
and the clinton ever gaining, still is reigning, still is reigning
does his thing and feels our paining raping all he stands astride
and surely grows this shadow more gloom and doom is what's in store
the unholy one who's known as gore waits to conquer then divide
emulates one he does adore who grabs his arm and does confide
quoth the clinton "i have no pride"
then came the year two thousand spewing lies just to arouse them 2
the evil duo along with striesand appealed to masses throughout the land
elect the apostle of the sax man to keep in place his incredibly lax plan
ignoring threats of radical islam and weaken the protectors for which we stand
intent on making morality a sham enabling all under his command
to pardon that unpardonable band
the voices went unto the polls unsure of choosing the one who rules
it turned into a ship of fools in the land we send our aging dad
protect the idiot litigation disenfranchisement investigation court ordered compilation
how are we to build a nation on the consideration of a hanging chad
robed thieves intent on retaliation was there no sanity to be had
i must admit its looking bad
then justice speaks on the side of right and finally ends the month long night
low and behold its such a sight the one who comes to heal both sides
a shining knight of slow persuasion a man who wants to rescue a nation
spinning out in wild gyration to harness hope and dreams besides
stopping all the speculation on where this land will take its strides
quoth the bush "an angel still rides"
parties unanimous is how they start only to be ripped apart
by one that had a change of heart lured by promises of power astride
relief still comes from being taxed strong arms took reign on might relaxed
but corrosion's toll had been exacted by all the minions who had lied
9/11 came and many died their souls forfeit by the one who cried
quoth the clinton "i really tried"
upon us now another season of liberal lies beyond all reason
amid this talk the talk of treason thrust upon us to choose who ruled
a celebration of demise with all the gang under the guise
of solemn ritual to win the prize to be the party of the polled
ahh but some are wise as the numbers told of those that are left out in the cold
quoth the people "we are not fooled"
almost half a score has now gone by since this tome was birthed on nigh3
patriots fight and give and die while others call for a retreat
misguided souls dribbling lather sell their honor still they blather
inventing truth a la dan rather suckling at the media teat
enlisting all that they could gather shamelessly endorse defeat
does this nation’s heart still beat
pretenders wait to lead this nation kerry first now an obomanation
coupled with a the realization that there is one who is bemired
she seeks to take us all to task southern drawl behind a complex mask
hiding a heart that cannot bask in sunlight because she is a coward
of prior times one must not ask or for punishment you will be fired
quoth the clinton "I don't feel no ways tired"
two seasons until the people choose a secret wish by the rats to lose
the state united made up of jews who only want to survive attack
surrounded by a radical islam that charts its course in terror and mayhem
not realizing that it’s all a sham spreading destruction with a shoulder pack
until we just don’t give a damn and truly give them a life to lack
quoth the soldier "i got your back "
death destruction and global warming realities lack is mostly forming
the wish for all to be in mourning is the aim of those who shout
evil man incompetent fool we can be a benevolent rule
if you trust us with your soul we will buy the devil out
with us it’s cool if your not devout
the left is dangerous without a doubt
scooter guilty justice miscarried let’s just let all fags get married
touché to those that must be parried harried by those who put before
winking to those seeking gain intellect swirling down the drain
stop it or I’ll go insane must we listen to al gore
even as they all complain to stop bad language they abhor
quoth the raven "nevermore"
rosie hangin like a bat sweating tons and dripping fat
like a pig imagine that the rop will stay away
edwards channeling the one above says we all don’t share our love
know that when the push is shove that what he owns won’t be in play
once a hawk now a dove moronic drivel is all they say
all they want now is to betray
“an angel still rides” upon our shoulder as all moonbats are getting bolder
our mighty youth and those much older protect us from the enemy allied
we must be strong to win this fight to do what God has deemed as right
crush this jihad with all our might and may our strength not be denied
and never forget that awful sight of one who lost his honor then decried
i've never never ever lied
endless calls for change of course spoken without the least remorse
the president says he will not ride that horse but break the ones who try to push
the ideology of a cult of dieing filled with waste and boldfaced lying
war is hell these times are trying all together we must debouch
to confront those who are still denying and flush them with a final whoosh
i take this last quote from the bush

i will make sure the fix is broken and i will divide by class and rule
all instruments of gain are mine or will be in a future time
have you not heard i am divine and aim to own your mortal soul
i’ll have a beer and dine with those whom i can not control
for twenty years the right was cool
as we approach his waterloo with healthy care for me and you
cap and trade he’ll have that too until the rise of groups with tea
the party that’s gaining in momentum will overtake and overwhelm them
feel good fools who trash on freedom will turn around and gasp to see
without no clothes a Chicago hoodlum and on that we can all agree
it might be time to go wee wee
