Hello everyone. I find sites such as this very interesting, not specifically sites that call them conservative but also those that claim they're liberal. I've been browsing these sites for some time now and it's very evident that there's a lot of hate and anger towards those who live in the same country as yours, by the way I live in Canada.
There's of course a lot of information these days about the USA that's going around in the world and it's quite sad, frankly, to see a country like the US so... divided. It's as if, either you're conservative, or you're liberal, and to those who are conservative only conservative ideals are correct. If you're liberal, only liberal ideas are correct. I don't like to call any idea conservative or liberal but I'm just saying them for the sake of this post. Is there no middle ground? Why is the US brought to such a simplistic idea that either you're conservative or liberal? I'm sorry but I just can't quite understand why people seem so frustrated. Reading sites like this and other, so called "news busters" for the left or right just seem so childish.
People don't seem to debate anything other than about what's "left" and what's "right". Do you guys call yourselves republicans? If so, why? Have you asked yourself why? Why do you put yourself into a this political idea and then claim everything outside it to be false and fake and disgusting and corrupt and so on? Don't get me wrong, I could ask the same for those who call themselves democrats.
Most of the content published on this site is just one perspective, there's so many others out there but your country, then again, only has two political parties. Why limit yourselves to this...binary system? Are you, as a human being, not capable of more than just blindly following a political punchline? Of course you're not, but that's all I see...
If they mention Global Warming, there will certainly be an Al Gore joke. If there's something about Public Health Care, you'll throw names at Clinton. It's as if the sides for Global Warming have already been picked, if you don't like Global Warming, you better be Conservative, if you believe in it, you're certainly a Liberal. Okay so that's just one example, but the fact is that it doesn't get anyone anywhere. Sure Al Gore made a movie about Global Warming, but it doesn't mean Global Warming is false, and no, I'm not saying it's true.
I'm not trying to make any claims here about what's right and what's wrong, that's up to you, right? not a political party? I just want to try and understand these websites because there's as many conservative websites as there are liberal. So shouldn't that mean that everyones got their own bias? Why are you guys so frustrated just about one side's bias? Where's the conservative site about what might be wrong with conservative ideas?
Anyway, just want to know what makes people want to belong to a political ideal or stick to one certain style of ideas and then defend it until then end without even considering other ideas. Again, sigh, this is NOT against this site specifically, the exact same thing happens with other sites. By the way, sorry for all this writing.
