Favorite Reading

A recent blog post here suggested that liberals read more than we do (such a lie!).  But some of the comments on that thread were rather interesting.

So, in the same vein as Dr. Love's favorite musical forum, I'd suggest we post some of our recommended books / authors.

You know....with reasons why, (or why not, if you hated someone's stuff). 

Just because.  It might be kind of fun, and I've decided I'm going to get back to my $50 a week habit at the bookstore.
