Dear Ray,
<http://www.democratsenators.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=FsYwGl1Ix%2BdEoztz9frCKj8LNUSvlOrw>

A year of hard work all comes down to this week. It's time for health care reform.

The Republicans might be okay with letting insurance companies deny coverage because of "pre-existing conditions." They might be okay with denying pregnant women the maternity care they need. They might be okay with 30 million people, in the richest country in the world, who don't have access to health care.

But Democrats aren't okay with the status quo. And we're going to get health insurance reform done.

Yet roadblock Republicans and their well-funded insurance industry friends are more interested in making President Obama look bad than in doing what's right. I could say they don't care, but that's not entirely true. They do care - about winning back power.

If we don't push back, Republicans will gain seats, and President Obama will fail. Fight back today with a gift to the DSCC. The DSCC must raise $566,793 by March 31. Republicans will receive a major assist now that health insurers, big oil, and other corporations can spend unlimited money in support of candidates. It's up to us to make sure Democrats have the resources needed to target Republicans nationwide.

Click here to make a contribution of $5 or more to the DSCC. It still must raise $566,793 by March 31. President Obama's success depends on our success. <http://www.democratsenators.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=Mz73%2BNTakwtgjRwceDZnfvgzXyV5F66J>

Republicans have been throwing up roadblocks all year. But Democrats have stood up to their antics, and we've been getting the job done for American families. Several jobs bills. Tax credits to help small businesses hire more workers. Expanded health care for children. Energy and education investments. Equal pay for equal work. Hate-crimes legislation. Yet at every turn, Republicans have tried to stop progress in its tracks.

Why? It's simple, really: When Democrats and President Obama succeed, the American people win. Republicans know it, and they'll use fear and confusion to distort reality in a desperate attempt to win elections and protect the special-interest status quo.

It's time to call them out, fight back to protect President Obama's agenda, and make sure the wealthy special interests don't win in November. We can't afford to go back to the failed policies of the Bush Administration that hurt so many American families and took our economy to the brink of disaster.

The DSCC needs your help to make sure Democrats - and the American people - win in November.

Democrats get it: It's time to work with President Obama to protect the interests of American families and get this country moving again.

Sincerely,

Sen. Debbie Stabenow
