When will our time come again?

As I post this, it is late on January 19th, and the Bush Presidency has roughly 15 hours left.
While Bush was no real conservative, and we on NB's can find many things we disagree with him on, I still think at the bottom of it all, he was a good, moral man.
Now the Obama years begin, and conservatism is at an nadir that has never existed in my lifetime. I was down in 1992-3, but everyone was in a fighting mood and eager to regain what was lost in 1992. New ideas were brimming, and everyone just knew that hard work and good candidates could reclaim victory in 1994.
However, now is decidedly not that time. Republicans and Conservatives are more depressed than ever, and are strangely quiet and nonchalant at this political apocalypse. Perhaps it is because of Obama's immense popularity that scares them, perhaps it is something else.
I will tell you this, my fellow NB's. I am nearly 40 years old. I doubt that I will see another Republican President until I am in my 60's or 70's. I feel that this nation has irrevocably changed, and that conservatism and all of its tenets no longer have any effect on this changed nation. The young, the minorities, and the urban elite form a strong nexus and effective voting bloc that will rule this country for decades with harsh liberalism, socialist policies, and Euro-style cultural changes throughout the land. We will be in the wilderness not for 4 years, but perhaps an entire generation, if not longer.
Remember someone who was 40 in 1932 when FDR was elected had to live until 1952 or age 60 until Eisenhower was elected. 20 years!!
I have a disheartening feeling that this is the last day for conservatism for that many years, if not more.
What do you all think?
