Ways to save fuel nationwide

I want to put out this subject to get feedback on increasing the supplies of fuel at a national level. Please feel free to respond.

1) Do away with private jets. (all of those pompous movie stars can travel coach or not at all)

2) Buy cars, not trucks (although it will be hard to fit my ladder, manure, etc. inside my car)

3) Drive 55, not 75 (yeah right!)
