I'm sitting at home, watching Hannity & Colmes, and guess what?
The New York Times is going to print a story linking McCain to a female lobbyist, implying an affair took place. Link To Drudge's Story
Now it starts. The MSM knows McCain is going to be the GOP nominee, so time to attack with all the ammo they've been holding back.
This is just the Tip Of The Iceberg.
UPDATE h/t -botg Or maybe this is the Horn of the RINO? ;-)

February 20, 2008 - 23:19 ET by bigtimerI commented quite a bit already on OT wih the link earlier but just a few words real quick to add to this...The NYT's did this intentionally to defeat Romney or any other candidates IMHO.
Timing tells it all...they had this story since Dec. yet they went ahead and endorsed him....oh puhleeeze...

McCain takes us for granted. I won't be taken for granted by him, or any other RINO. Oh, I'll be voting in November, because my House Rep needs my vote, but McCain is SOL.

The plain and simple fact
February 21, 2008 - 01:17 ET by MightyMouthThe plain and simple fact is not voting for the "Republican" candidate is a vote that will not cancel a Vote for the Dem. So if you want Billary or Osama in office, don't vote. Anyone that can argue with that logic please speak up!

The weird thing is MM
February 21, 2008 - 01:27 ET by shawn228I have been one of the people that have been trying to get conservatives to vote for the person that gets the nomination. Many people are very adamant that they do not want to be taken for granted and believe that Obama or Clinton getting voted in will somehow trigger a GOP revival.
I see the opposite. If Obama gets the nomination, the dems will have a lots of power. They will certainly gain seats in the senate and will probably keep the house. If he has over sixty seats in the senate. Obama could nominate John Edwards to the SCOTUS and there is nothing the GOP can do about it

Maybe McCain can take a sharp turn to the right ?
February 21, 2008 - 01:25 ET by Free StinkerMcCain, Clinton, and Obama.
Same judges, same spending, same big govt.
And none of them will pull us out of Iraq. They don't want that held against them in the 2010 ans 2012 elections.
Maybe McCain can take a sharp turn to the right, then he might have my vote. At this time, I see no difference between him and the dems.

The damage will not be limited to four years
February 21, 2008 - 01:26 ET by Oscar GoldmanNot voting or voting for Obama or Hillary will cause irreparable damage not just to the economy and our security, but also our future. Think about the Supreme Court appointments. At least three of the liberal Justices could retire in the next term. Conservatives are on the verge of a 5-4 majority.
McCain has stated that he doesn't like Alito.

Remember
February 21, 2008 - 10:32 ET by Oscar Goldmanthat had it not been for the "Gang of 14" Samuel Alito would never have received the full Senate vote and confirmation. Moreover, had it not been for the "Gang of 14" and Republicans gone for the "nuclear option" -- no filibusters on appointments -- Republicans would have no 60 vote safety valve or the unthinkable -- Obama appointing a young, uber-liberal to the SCOTUS. Not only do we need to vote in November, but also we need to make sure we hold enough Senate seats to retain our filibuster.
Senator McCain is not perfect. Maybe, in some light, he is far from it. No candidate represents 100% of all our views. If Mitt Romney had truly embodied the best of our beloved Ronald Reagan, then why not an earlier rally behind him? I think many conservatives misunderstand one of Ronald Reagan's greatest attributes. While a true to heart conservative, Ronald Reagan never imposed his beliefs on others through force. He believed in the good of man and believed in leading by example, not mandate.
Pledge to not support RINOs ever again!
February 21, 2008 - 13:51 ET by Free StinkerThis isn't about Senator McCain not being perfect.

MM,
February 21, 2008 - 02:10 ET by R D HelmLook, I fully understand your position. Believe me, no one around here, with the possible exception of Free, has lost more sleep over this than have I.
But consider this:
GWB inherited a republican party that was in fairly good shape. No, it wasn't perfect, but they had just come off six straight years of fighting off Wee Willy's nonsense. However, once Bush was running the show, the very same republicans who had stopped Clinton cold caved like cheap tents and aided him in doubling the size of the federal government.
My fear is that this trend would continue, if not accelerate, under McCain, who, IMHO, is more liberal than even Bush is, who is too liberal for me.
The republicans are far more effective in the opposition role. They are not mature enough to run the show themselves just yet.
Proud member of the "Rough Republican Attack Machine."
MM,
February 21, 2008 - 01:40 ET by R D HelmYes, but there is also the concept of asking for a new deck, too.
Many feel McCain would do irreparable harm to what is left of the republican party. I agree with this assessment.
Every election since Reagan left offive, the RINOs keep sending us more and more leftward-leaning candidates. Sadly, we keep voting for them, expecting much, yet getting next to nothing for our support.
At this rate, next time around, Obama would probably make it as a republican nominee.
Proud member of the "Rough Republican Attack Machine."
