There is breaking news on Drudge regarding the Obama administration's desire to have wounded American troops pay for their service related injuries and disabilities, mainly with private insurance instead of costs being borne by the Veterans Administration. The total savings per year would be (according to the President) $540 million. Apparently several veteran related groups attended a meeting on Monday afternoon with the President, including the American Legion Commander, and it did not go well. Is this a trial balloon by the administration, or is it even a real story? It is difficult to believe that any administration would consider such a move.
