Oklahoma trying to save the Republic

As any constitutional loving human being knows, the last 15 or so years have been a trying time for "old glory" especially during the Bush admin.

Well, I've said it before and I'm saying it now, I'm proud to be an Okie (but not from Muskogee). With a new joint resolution OK is trying to claim sovereignty via the 10th amendment from possibly the largest, most vile U.S gov't ever.

Sand in the gears---

I read today that in spite of the overwhelming vote in the OK house, the bill will not fare as well in the Senate.

Yea, it got ram-rodded in

Yea, it got ram-rodded in the State Senate with a 24-24 tie. I'm not sure how they will proceed.

It would be quite an accomplishment for the Republic if its passed. I think the Dems holding it up need to get the heck out.

Cheney fight for states

Cheney fight for states rights over the Federal gov't? You've got to be kidding me. He IS (part of) the reason states like Oklahoma are having to pull the 10th Amendment card.

Seems to me, we have 24

Seems to me, we have 24 morons we need to get rid of in the Senate. I dont need anyone that cannot stand up to the Goverment and guard my rights in the Senate. Got their names?

Save a SeAL, club a liberal!!

The house passed the bill

The house passed the bill 92-3 or something but I can't find the vote from the Senate. I've looked all over. Actually, its not even on their 2008 vote page:
