Some believe that God and Jesus are two entitites, not one. Hence, there is the belief that Jesus is not God. So to that person denying Jesus, is not denying God.
You are absolutely right... Muslims for example separate God and Jesus. Not that I'm saying that B.O. is a muslim, 'cause I'm not. Just draw your own conclusions....
Obama did not and has not "denied Jesus". His staff has never ordered Georgetown University "to cover up the image of Christ on the cross" as alleged by Rep. Bachmann, and it is irresponsible of her to suggest otherwise.
How do we know that what you say is the truth? Do you have access to Obamas' main source of information? His telepromter. Is that your source? Do you also believe that Obama never heard any of Reverend Wrights anti-America rants? Did you believe him when he said he was going to have a transparent government? Did you believe him when he said that there would be no lobbyist in his administration? How many shovel ready projects are underway?
What in Heaven's name do "teleprompters", "lobbyists", and "shovel ready projects" have to do with denying Jesus, which Obama has never done--at least publicly? [I don't pretend to read a person's mind or know his or her heart.]
It is very easy to tell when someone cannot defend their position. They attempt to change the direction of the subject. You understand my posting perfectly.
Did you believe Obama when he said that he would release the pictures of supposed torture? You did not answer the previous questions so I now know the answer is: Yes.
Yours is a surprisingly irrelevant and illogical post which doesn't advance the dialogue one millimeter. My position is stated clearly: Obama has not denied Jesus. Now, I'm clearly referring to his public statements, because no one knows what is in someone's heart. But I have listened to Rep. Bachmann's accusation and it is clearly misrepresentative of reality.
Your claim I have changed the direction of the subject is, quite frankly, just plain silly. Injecting shovel-ready projects, etc. and now the release of torture pictures into the analysis are herrings of the reddest variety. I might just as well ask you if you believed George Bush when he said there would be no attempts at nation building. Sush questions are of no importance whatsoever to the topic at hand.
Congratulations Jer! You have earned a perfect score on the " I am a true believer in Obama" test.
Submit your resume to the preidents' spokesman and you could be sitting in the front row at Obamas' next press conference. Possibly between Helen Thomas and Ed Shultz.
Let's remember that it was this kook Bachmann who "thought it was interesting" that the swine flu appeared under Obama and the previous outbreak happened under Carter -- which is incidentally not true.
It's true if you will admit Obama is the same "kook" who said his uncle liberated Auschwitz and Obama was conceived as a result of JFK providing the funding for his father coming to America.
Yeah, we can say "kook" and throw "bizarre" as well.
I voted for Obama...generally supported him but have also been critical at times. I am not and have never been a "true believer" in Obama, and pointing out the fallacy of the "Obama denies Jesus" claim doesn't make me one.
In the view of Christian doctrine, Obama has most certainly denied Jesus. More specifically, Obama has by word and deed denied the Word. According to Christian teaching, Jesus is one with the Word and God. Deny one, deny all.
Obama, a moral relativist, has denied the morality of the Word many times. A few examples:
He has voted to protect late term abortions, some would say even legalize the killing of infants who survived an abortion.
Obama says he believes Marriage to be between a man and a woman, but he has taken no action of any sort despite many opportunities to protect the institution of marriage from the assault of his alllies in the Homsexual Rights movement.
Obama has abrogated contracts as President, breaching word of bond, effectively stealing private property on behalf of a labor union.
Obama has made threats of slander against private citizens in attempts to bullyrag them into submission to his will.
I am sure I could produce more examples, but the mere fact that Obama is a moral relativist should be sufficient to convict him of the charge that he denies Jesus because he denies there is an absolute standard of right and wrong worthy of his defense.
