Nobel Peace Prize = the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award

This takes the cake - Barack Obama awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009. That the Nobel committee would award this prestigious award to a man who

is nothing more than a ward politician from Chicago with a parochial mentality;

that he has been the President of the USA for less than 9 months;

that he has absolutely NO claim to have contributed to peace in our time or set the world on the road to civilization and freedom;

that he is embarking on a socialist program that will shackle the American economy and ultimately the world;

that the end game of his policies will be totalitarianism in America and the seeds are planted elsewhere with the G-20 espousing policies on limits on compensation - taking freedom away which can only end in turmoil;

that he has adjusted our policy in Afghanistan to MORE foot soldiers (putting more and more of our men and women in harms way) and less hardware into a country that refuses to be part of the world community by exporting only opium and terrorism;

that he embraces fascist like Castro (a dictator of 50 years) and Chavez and Qadaffi and refuses to acknowledge the rights of Israel and the significant dangers of Hamas;

that he turns-about on Iran because the "forces" of reason (UN) finally come to their senses about the hate mongerers in Iran.

This award absolutely and permanently relegates the Nobel Peace Prize to a complete travesty, demeaning the value of all previous awards, and puts it on a par with the "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate".
