As a citizen of New Jersey (exit 18W for all you jokesters), I watch what happens in regard to the politics of my state will utter astonishment, at times. Today was no different. Our Limousine Liberal govenor, Jon Corzine, said that he would join our senators, Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez, and oppose oil drilling off the NJ coastline.
Note to the Govenor...you can't see an oil derrick from your pad in Hoboken, can you? If there were drilling off New Jersey's shoreline, you still wouldn't.
Perhaps if our elected officials would check the pulse of its electorate instead that of the Sierra Club, we wouldn't have this bunch of NIMBY's thinking that reducing the price of gasoline is a BAD thing.

Laughingburg and Corupt-zine are clones
July 7, 2008 - 12:28 ET by SouthJersey1953They are both idiots. Rob Andrews should have captialized on the Laughingburg Primary ad where he 'bragged' about opposing off shore drilling. NJ residents are not against drilling (especially those that know the derricks are not visible from the shore.....)
Corzine is a complete failure as Gov....we need to get rid of him before he totally destroys the state.
Prediction from Passaic County...
July 8, 2008 - 08:35 ET by SickofLibs...the idiot voters of NJ will re-elect Frank 'The Cadaver' Lousenberg and Corzine will be relected in '09.
We MUST insure that NJ remains Numero Uno in the country in property taxes, car insurance, rampant government spending, crime rate, road tolls, and last but not least, an interrupted legacy of corruption starring the Democrats.

This is excellent news. They should keep up the good work. They are setting the stage for conservatism in November. Now if I only had some confidence that conservatives will aggressively campaign on these issues....
Jon Corzine, Frank Lautenberg, and Robert Menendez are idiots!
July 7, 2008 - 23:11 ET by Free StinkerJon Corzine, Frank Lautenberg, and Robert Menendez are idiots!
According to Rasmussen (June 9): Democrat Frank Lautenberg, seeking a fifth term in the U.S. Senate, is
in a virtual tie with Republican challenger Dick Zimmer in New Jersey
So, with Lautenberg up only 1%, drilling would be a great issue for Zimmer if he has the sense to use it.
