Media Matters - Master's of the Irrelevant

  • Bookmark and Share

Eric Boehlert is apparently still trying to recapture the magic of his
time with Rolling Stone Magazine.  Now blogging at Media Matters, Eric
is struggling for jouranlistic recognition with articles like "How
Fox's Chris Wallace became irrelevant" which while a step up from his
recent article about the John F. Kennedy assasination remains a small
step up.

Comments in the article like "Wallace realizes his days
of having it both ways -- of being able to cash Rupert Murdoch's annual
seven-figure checks without being tarred by Fox News' unique brand of
idiocy -- are over, that the jig is up." betray a jealous Boehlert, who
can only dream of the acclaim that a journalist of Chris Wallace's
status enjoys.

Boehler goes on to rant "Either Wallace is
completely comfortable with the new Fox News -- where the president is
attacked relentlessly around the clock via bogus "news reports," where
guest rosters are routinely stacked in favor of conservatives, where
the news organization sponsors purely political rallies, and where
hosts routinely demonize the president of the United States as a racist
Nazi -- or Wallace is uncomfortable with it."  Wow, if Boehler could
only produce some of those vicious Fox News hosts demonizing the
President as a racist Nazi, he could probably peddle them for a pretty
penny.  We hope he isn't just making this up trying to get Media
Manners to up his salary to the "annual seven-figured check" that
Wallace apparently enjoys.
