All Fred heads who don't have a conservative candidate to support, have no fear! Ron Paul is here!
Yes, RP, my main "paul"itician. The most conservative, forefatherly, knowledgable person in Government. Yes thats right...OUT OF EVERYONE!
I hear that many "conservatives" don't like his foreign policy of non-intervention. Well, let me ask you. How big does our empire have to be? How long must we overthrow weaker gov'ts and set up shop on their soil? How much money are YOU willing to borrow and spend, enslaving your kids and grandkids. That doesn't sound very (neo)Conservative to me.
Our Country is falling apart, and although many of you can see it, you always go back to your Giulianiesque "But the big bad bogey man is going to get us!! We MUST fight them there so we don't have to fight them here!!" Again, I say how much are YOU willing to lose for this half baked cockamamey load of CRAP(sic).
You want to secure the border, yet are ok with sending our border guards to Iraq. You want to help save Israel from the evil Muslims, yet don't mind that we give the muslim countries 3 times as much aid as Israel. Bush just "sold" the Saudi's $20 BILLION worth of weapons, yet 15/19 of the 9/11 hi-jackers came from Saudi Arabia. DID YOU JUST READ WHAT I WROTE?!?
If you are a true conservative you will understand our predicament. If you are a neo-conservative you understand and are happy with our "course" of action.
The choice is (y)ours.

Good luck with this one.
January 22, 2008 - 19:23 ET by Clear thinkerRon Paul will NOT be the recipient of my vote.
Rush Limbaugh stated that of the top 5 Republicans running for the presidency, only one was a true conservative. http://www.fred08.com/

For once TP you have me laughing out loud.
TP,
January 22, 2008 - 20:20 ET by R D HelmAs a conservative libertarian, I am in near total agreement with Ron Paul on his domestic agenda. It is his foriegn policy positions I have real problems with.
We are living in a time when we must have a president and CIC who understands fully that it may be necessary to pre-emptively confront our enemies and go kill them "over there" and not wait around to have to do it here. Sadly, with all of Mr. Pauls well thought out ideas on the domestic front, that is one idea that he just does not get.
I just do not believe that he really grasps the dangers this country is facing today.

RD, did you support what
January 23, 2008 - 10:00 ET by ThoughtPoliceRD, did you support what the Reagan/Bush admin did in 1989 when they struck militarily in Panama killing thousands of innocent people all so that they could get the "criminal" Noriega?
That was literally the first time the U.S. PRE-emptively struck another nation. What was the reason given? Well, there really wasn't one. They said that Noriega was breaking U.S. law on his on soil. Uh, what was that? They killed thousands of people so they could enfore U.S. law in another sovereign nation. Sound familiar?
Who are we fighting "over there" by the way? Iraq? Al-Qaeda? OBL (who is more than likely dead)? I mean, we don't have an enemy to fight anymore so why stay? We are losing lives and dollars faster than OBL's family was flown out of the US after 9/11.
Is it a surprise that no one here can answer the simple question of "where do we get the money"? Do you want to borrow more from China or raise taxes. The choice is (y)ours.

Oh joy to the world, 19 more atomic power plants!
Ron Paul's 3rd party already exists
January 23, 2008 - 11:04 ET by LionKingRon Paul's true party already exists...Libertarian.
Jane Roe has endorsed Ron Paul interestingly enough.
[Who has Cindy Sheehan endorsed?]
Nope, because as I kept telling you...
January 23, 2008 - 12:26 ET by sarcasmoAs ye sow, so shall ye reap. Crappy-ass, Constitutionally-questionable ballot restrictions led to this situation, like it or not. The fact that I was bitching about them before Paul ever ran is probably as annoying as when I say "I told you so" about inflation & precious-metals-prices these days, but the truth can sometimes be annoying. And it's funny how the Roe endorsement produced almost-0 media coverage, but like the rest, that's "not bias" because it's media-bias against He Who Must Not Be Named so they get a pass...
