Hmm... Tennessee Democratic Leaders Wonder If Obama Is a Terrorist (Video)
The case is still open on Obama--
Tennessee Democratic Party Leaders are still questioning whether or not Barack Obama is a terrorist.
Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs and Democratic superdelegate Lincoln Davis hash it out.
The Political Grapevine reported this earlier today:
The Barack Obama campaign may have to update its new Web site set up to combat vicious rumors thanks to a fellow Democrat.
Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs tells The City newspaper in Nashville, "I don't exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for — and I'm not sure we know enough about him. He's got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be."
Hobbs was giving an interview to the paper about fellow Tennessee Congressman and Democratic superdelegate Lincoln Davis, who has not yet declared his support for Obama.
Reacting to Hobbs, Davis' Chief of Staff Beecher Frasier says he does not know for sure if Obama is terrorist connected, but he assumes he is not.
Follow-up Question: If their investigation concludes that BO is indeed a terrorist will they still be able to support him as the democratic nominee?
Ten of the Tennessee state’s 17 superdelegates still haven’t endorsed Obama.
The Tennessee Democratic Party later released a statement claiming the state's Democratic Party was united behind Obama.
...Except, of course, for those 10 of 17 superdelegates who won't endorse him."

June 15, 2008 - 07:53 ET by WhichWingAre you surprised that FOX was the only station to report this? They are the same channel responsible for the brilliant "terrorist fist jab" comment. This is a half-assed attempt to smear the man. Let's smear him based on his policies, because this stupid shit is getting us nowhere.

June 15, 2008 - 11:24 ET by ThisnThatTypical, response, WW, typical. If a Dim says it, and other Dims don't like it, then we should suppress it like it never happened? And yet when Dims want to spread false rumors (Murtha's 'Marines are murderers' comment comes to mind as one of those statements), we should repeat this over and over as truth?
As I said, typical double-talk by liberals and defenders of the untruth. And BTW, clean up your language -- we don't need that here at NB.

You don't find this story
June 15, 2008 - 20:38 ET by WhichWingYou don't find this story to be a little ridiculous? Implying that Obama might be a terrorist? But I guess that's typical of you, isn't it? Always looking to jump on the next idiot train and ride it into town. "Oh, but the Dims did this and the Dims did that! We should bash them and then do the same thing!"
Fools.

June 16, 2008 - 00:01 ET by WhichWingI'd say BO is the greater of two evils in this election. He supports much of the same foreign policies of Bush and McCain, yet all his supporters seem to think otherwise. They both seem to have the same views on immigration. Add to the foolish foreign and immigration policies the socialism style health care and he's worse than McCain. But he's a smooth talker and is apparently very compelling as he repeats his "Change" mantra around the country.
McCain supporters should be happy that he's running against Obama. If Obama wins, then McCain supporters will get everything they wanted in McCain, except for the healthcare.

WhichWing, with Barry's connections to Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohr,Black Liberation Theology, Louis Farrakhan, F.A.R.C., ex-PLO members and various other members of the radical and anti-American left, he may not be a terrorist, but he damn sure must have a crush on them.

June 15, 2008 - 20:41 ET by WhichWingI'm not sure if this was a reply to me or not, but Obama would not be my party. And who in the same party as Obama would say something like this without some other motive? The fact that Fox seems to be the only outlet to report this speaks volumes.

There is no doubt that much
June 15, 2008 - 20:59 ET by WhichWingThere is no doubt that much of the media is riding the Obama train, but that wasn't the point to me. This story is absolutely stupid and accomplishes nothing. We are all well on our way to a Congress with a strong Dem majority and one in the White House, and I believe that not discussing policies and the consequences of them in favor of spreading this garbage is a major factor in that.

June 15, 2008 - 21:06 ET by Cool ArrowThe point is It would be frontpage throughout the land if, for example, Republican Congressmen were raising questions about secrets McCain passed offto the North Vietnamese while in captivity.
And here I thought you were just giving the MSM a nod and a wink for their fellatious noncoverage of Obama.
Now I get it. There's a reason MSM couldn't speak at that moment.

June 16, 2008 - 00:05 ET by WhichWingThis story didn't involve a Congressman of either party. It was 'Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee member Fred Hobbs' saying "He's got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be." What is that? A story? I think not. There are no facts here, just accusations with nothing to back them up.
Now we can speculate all day on what McCain news may or may not make headlines, but we can plainly see why this story did not. Stories like this are the main reason Fox's credibility is so often called into question.
P.S. Speaking of bias, did you notice in the linked article that the 'terrorist' part was followed by a story about a dumb Dem bill and then two positive stories about the McCain family. (Nothing over the top, but not negative like the Obama and the model bill.)
