Did anyone watch CSI tonight? The episode was about a black cop killed in a ghetto area of Las Vegas, presumably by a racist white cop. I was apprehensive at first, but I think the show dealt quite honestly and fairly with the prejudiced assumptions made by both whites and blacks. The shooting takes place at a diner called "The White House" which has a neon sign that says "Yes You Can." Of course the locals accuse the white cop of murder and call for vengeance. The destruction of his career and personal life ensues. The white cop is exonerated in the end, but commits suicide. I wish I had a transcript. This a paraphrase, but the CSI team muses over the inflamed state of race prejudice and ask themselves who's to blame. At this point the camera pans back to show the diner's neon sign, which says "The White House." I laughed out loud. I love it! Quite a refreshing change from Hollywood's Obama-worship.

Anneke9, I saw the show
October 16, 2009 - 11:35 ET by Scuba DudeAnneke9,
I saw the show last night and have it on the DVR too. I thought it was a very good episode. I like the scene where Lawrence Fishburnes character brings up a study done on cop shootings. I am trying to do this from memory but I think the study said in almost all the cases the officers actions were not because of the suspects skin color but their actions.
All in all a good show.
