Chuck Baldwin takes on bias against Dr. Ron Paul

http://www.newswithv...

Has the whole thing, which is worth-reading. I've been thinking about it, and compared to Chuck I'm downright-reasonable IMO! :) Evangelical Christians, please consider what Chuck says carefully, even though it might be "tough love" in some cases. Chuck also rips the news media AND the Republican party a new one, and shows once-again he's able to think for himself.

What do YOU think of it?

I think Chuck's right.

And that evangelicals have been exceptionally dimwitted & sheeplike (especially pastors, who are responsible for learning) in not getting a clue about groups like the CFR, which aim to destroy US sovereignty. I think evangelicals don't like hearing the truth from me, and they hate it even more from Chuck because of his Reagan-history. I think, when disaster comes, they'll probably whine about it being libertarians' fault, despite all this. So, what do YOU think of it??

Rally online with fans of Dr. Ron Paul. (All purpose anti-slander-link, sadly-needed these days...)

What do I think of it? I

What do I think of it? I shall post my thoughts in reference to the portions of the text.

My own experience has been that Congressman Paul's supporters have always demonstrated grace, patience, and courtesy. I have met and worked alongside Ron Paul supporters in at least four states, and I have never personally witnessed any of the anger and bitterness of which they are accused.

As you probably realize, that is NOT my expereince with Ron Paul supporters who have responded to my posting positing my postion that Paul will eventually run as a Libertarin with nothing by venom.  You yourself have indicated that all of my postings are "Whining" so, no, I do not agree with the reverends position.

Ron Paul's supporters have been subjected to the most overt and outlandish brand of humiliation and censorship ever seen in modern politics.

Personally, I would have made the same case for Fred Thompson for being labled "Lazy" by the press regardless of the fact that he attended the same number of events as the others.  Simply because he desired to run an oldtime "After Labor Day" campaign he was branded.  The others likewise are all labled in one way or the other by the press.  it is just a fact of life and we need to get over it.

The cable news Republican Presidential debates have been jokes.

Concur.  Someone who was obviously going to get 10% or less in the vote should NOT have been put on the stage with the others.  Sadly this included Tancredo,Hunter, and Paul who wasted the others time.

.For every one question (and usually a stupid, irrelevant question at that) asked of Dr. Paul, the other participants will get three or four.

That is NOT what I observed.  It seemed to me that they went to great effort to ask the same number of questions of each candidate.  regardlesss of that candidates viability.  The follow up questions necessarily where each candidate was allowed to respond to each other was by and of its nature focused on political enemies.  Paul benefited from this and was harmed by this as Rudy Giuliani beat him senseless in the first debate for his isolationist views.

Maybe more. Even though Ron Paul has received more money, more votes, and more delegates than Rudy Giuliani, the press continues to ignore Mr. Paul while showering Giuliani with coverage.

The press PREFERS liberals.  This is news?

In addition, Ron Paul's own party continues to treat him and his supporters as second-class citizens--or perhaps even as aliens from a different planet.

That is because his isolationist views are not in accordance with a nation at war and thus cause him to be an unviable candidate.  They do not reflect reality and thus he suffers.  Nothing new to consider there.  I am surprised that the other candidates have not asked him the obvious question of "Rep Paul, what nations do you consider allies and would be willing to defend if they are attacked."  His position on that has not been brought in tothe light and would likely immediately dispatch his candidacy.

They are subjected to insults of every type. Not to mention enduring every conceivable method to censure or remove Dr. Paul from the political process. He has been denied access to platforms, excluded from debates, removed from GOP Presidential lists, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

See my position from above regarding viability as a candidate.

I say again: if anyone has a right to be angry, it is Ron Paul supporters. But perhaps the greater question is, Why are not all of us angry? No, I do not mean in a cruel or unkind way, but where is our outrage for what the ruling elite are doing to our country?

I do not see myself as the ruling elite.  Thus when my positions are coached that way, I am surprised.  I think the reverends positions are more paranoia than anything else since I agree with the removal of RP from the debate platform.

We should all be angry at the way politicians lie to us, deceive us, and manipulate us. We should all be angry at the way both major parties have completely ignored and trampled constitutional government.

I am hoping that he lists the potential lies I am being subjected to as I do not recognize any right now.

What LIE has been leveled?

Are we so gullible that we cannot see when a politician says one thing to one group of people and a totally opposite thing to another group of people? Are we so naïve that we cannot tell when a politician changes his beliefs simply in order to garner votes?

Or changes parties such as RP when he left the Libertrain Party for the Republican party.  Did this upset the good reverend?

Come on folks, let's get real: do you really expect John McCain to abandon his efforts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens? Do you really expect Mitt Romney to be a champion for the unborn? Do you really expect Mike Huckabee to suddenly be the champion for limited government spending? Do you really expect Rudy Giuliani to keep his pants zipped?

I do not.  Nor do I expect RP to defend the nation in an agressive manner.

Have the American people become so numbed to truth and reality that we cannot distinguish the genuine from the phony--even when it stands right in front of us? Perhaps so. However, if the American people had any of the character and resolve of our forebears, we would be steaming mad about what our political and business leaders have done to our country.

I see no application of this statement.

Yes, we should be angry at the way our government has repeatedly lied to us about the economy, about sending our jobs and manufacturing industries overseas,

I thought the proper libertarian position would be to allow the owner of a property/employer to do what he desires with that property.  if shipping it overseas is the logical thing to do, isn't that the correect thing to do?

about Iraq,

I have not been lied to regarding Iraq.  I would ask the good reverend to list the lies so i caould take a swing at them.

Run out of time, gotta go.

Ron Paul will never have my

Ron Paul will never have my support. Plain and simple. He's a good speech, and that's about it.
